Third PoV
The light in the hallway is still turned off when his door opens. The only source of light is the moon shining through the windows but he doesn't need it to find his way to his desired location.
Once he's there he opens the door without knocking first and quietly closes it behind him again.
The room is illuminated by fairy lights, each on opposite sides of the room. The bed is still located in the same place and aside from the person on it, nothing seems to have ever changed in the room.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
"I should be the one asking that question." Cedro irritatedly returns the sentiment.
"I wouldn't answer if you'd ask," Ivano shrugs, walking further into the room until he can sit down on the edge of the bed, "where is she?"
"Don't I know that," Cedro whispers beneath his breath, barely able to hold his annoyance at bay, "In the bathroom."
"Why?"
Cedro incredulously looks at him, "to avoid you."
"That's not nice, Elena." Ivano chides when the door opens and she walks back towards her bed.
Ivano scoots to the side to create enough space for her to get onto the bed and comfortably back under the blankets. Just like his brother, Cedro moves out of the way too and eventually both are sitting on the edges of the bed.
"What are you doing here?" Eleonora curiously asks Ivano.
"What is Cedro doing here?" Ivano asks instead of answering the question.
The annoyance visibly grows on Elena's face at this which only causes him to smirk, "I'm waiting for an answer."
"Fuck off," Cedro says, "there you have your answer."
"Rude."
"Incredibly rude." The older brother sarcastically adds on to Ivano's statement. To further empathize his irritation, he glares at his brother until he rolls his eyes and talks.
"I'm here to celebrate her birthday, Cedro. What are you doing here?"
"The same." He replies.
A look is exchanged between both brothers that communicates everything they would never dare to say out loud with their sister present.
It's everything from the memories of her first birthday she shared with her brothers and the last.
Both are overcome with the memories of the vibrantly decorated house and the birthday cake with the big pink 1 candle burning in the middle of it. The melted wax that ran down the sides off it until it hit the cake only to later on be consumed by the people that cared more about their sister than the wax they accidentally ended up eating.
Memories of their parents joy that never outshone the brothers joy flood their mind. The sounds of pure joy and happiness coming from their youngest that brightened their dark world.
The smile on her face when she opened a present and immediately held it out for Ivano to look at and play with for her while she opens the next.
