Third PoV
Luca frantically runs through the halls, desperate to find a Mancini brother he can inform. He runs around the corner and collides with another body.
"Look where you're going." Matteo sighs, trying to keep his annoyance at bay and reaches a hand out to help Luca up. Gratefully, the hand is accepted, "Matteo! Where is Santino?" he rushes out.
"In his office with the others," Matteo replies and a moment later starts running after Luca, "What's wrong?".
"There was an accident."
"Where?" Matteo asks. His hand comes in contact with Luca's shoulder to keep him from running off again. Suddenly a feeling of dread washes over him and he prays that his feelings are wrong, but logically knows that he's right. The way Luca is hurrying to the Mancini brothers and the missing confirmation of the safe return home automatically leads to the knowledge that something happened with Eleonora.
"A few kilometers away from here. There was a car crash and we haven't been able to contact any of them yet." Luca tries to shake Matteo's hand off hum.
Matteo cusses, "and running into the office seems like the appropriate way to tell them?".
"Yes?" Luca quietly says after a moment of consideration. He stops shaking off Matteo's hand and is now actually grateful that he stopped him from his original plan. Santino definitely would not have appreciated that.
"And did you stop to think what they would do to you?" The therapist sighs and pulls Luca along with him without waiting for an answer.
"No. Not really."
"Of course you didn't." Matteo grumbles while opening the door to Santino's office without knocking.
All eyes turn towards him and he pushes Luca slightly in front of him. "Tell them." He gestures.
"Tell us what?" Marcello questions.
"There was an accident." Luca calmly says. All brothers look at him. The tense atmosphere and quietness is almost suffocating and unbearable for Luca. Matteo is used to this atmosphere but he isn't. Luca just regrets coming here in the first place and being the one to tell the Mancini brothers the bad news.
"What kind of accident?" Santino asks, monotone.
"A car crash. A car blocked the road and Tommaso wasn't able to stop. He drove into it," Luca quickly explains, "we haven't heard from anyone involved in it yet." He adds after a few seconds in a slower speed.
The twins jump from their seats and grab their guns from the table. They rush towards the blocked door, "get out of my way." Marcello growled at the two men.
"Marcello!" Santino warns, "where was the crash?".
"A few kilometers away from here." Luca quickly tells the oldest Mancini.
"Is anyone on the way yet?" Santino asks. He stands up to retrieve his gun too and joins his younger twin brothers at the door. The two men move out of the way and allow the brothers to leave the room, following them out of the office.
"No. We wanted to tell you first."
Santino whips around, "you could have told me when someone was already on their way!".
"Yes, don." Luca winced, hurrying after the brothers.
"Davide!" Santino barks at a group of men standing in front of the warehouse next to their cars. He strides over to them with the rest following him.
Davide looks at him, waiting for his command, "follow us in a car. Heavily armed.".
"We will." Davide guarantees and the men with him start following the command. The twins get into the backseat of their brother's car.
