OKAY STOP. RIGHT NOW! If you don't read any of my other recommendations, you absolutely MUST read this book! It is probably one of my favorite fanfics ever and one of the few that made me cry. Hermione is in the midst of the Battle of Hogwarts and she has lost everything. During a violent encounter with Death Eaters, she is saved by none other than her long-term nemesis: Draco Malfoy, upon which she is transported back to 1977, the year of the Marauders. Befriended by the mischievous band themselves, Hermione must confront her inner turmoil. Does she deserve to feel happy when she's left so much behind?
This writer did such justice to the original series and develops Hermione in such an intriguing way. Not to mention, they also form such wonderful interpretations of the Marauders and other characters during this time (I love Frederic, an OG). Full of inspiration and hopelessness, of nostalgia and courage, this is a must-read.
