THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF MY FAVORITES! (I'm starting to notice a similarity with time travel books and Hermione lol). Seriously, put this book in your library as soon as possible. Hermione apparates into the Forest of Dean with Harry and a splinched Ron at her side when she knows that it's time to follow the advice Dumbledore gave her. To go back and give the enigma of Tom Riddle another chance, but with a light to follow. Thus begins Hermione's delve into 1944 and her journey on softening the ruthless nature of one of the darkest wizards of the age.
I really enjoyed the writing style of this author. They use such great symbolism and imagery, along with several powerful messages that are interwoven into the fabric of the story. I feel that they truly understand the characters and highlight Dumbledore's and Tom's relationship in a way I have never read before. The character of Abraxas Malfoy is brilliant and although there are times I think Hermione is a bit too venerated by Tom, I absolutely LOVE the dynamic between Tom and the future characters (yep, in 1998). This is a must read for ANY Harry Potter fan and is such an excellent, creative story!
