Birthday

    After the events at the club more and more people at school had begun to notice me. Today was the first day that Yoongi and I had decided on being open about us being together.
    "I can't do this!" I screech as I attempt to run back home but I'm stopped by all of the boys and dragged along into the large building with them.
    "I'm here babygirl don't worry, nothing will happen as long as I'm around." Yoongi slings his arm over my shoulder pulling me close as we walk down the halls. Murmurs and whispers could be heard along with a few gasps of shock. Yoongi has never publicly displayed that we are dating in any type of way. I'm not sure if everyone is shocked about me being brown and with the guys or the sight of Yoongi all over me. I try to tune everyone and ignore it as we step into our lecture hall and find our usual seats at the back. 

    "See that wasn't so hard!" Jungkook speaks up.
    "Easy for you to say. You're all used to the constant attention." I mutter under my breath as the professor steps in and begins our lesson.
After classes were finished, we all decided to eat on campus at the cafeteria for once. Entering the big dining hall an older woman stops us and asks for our student IDs and payment. We all pay, and the boys all rush off excited about the buffet.
    "I'll meet you back at the table in a minute." I say as I grab a tray and head down the buffet line looking for any food that looks appetizing. Filling my tray up I begin to make my way back to the table to sit with everyone. I stop in my tracks at the sight in front of me. Yoongi hugging some girl while Yuri and the rest of the boys sit at the table watching them with worried looks. I shuffle over to the table and set my tray down clearing my throat since the two were too occupied to realize I was there.
    "Alex! Meet Jeon So-yeon! We basically grew up together." Yoongi gushes over her while the rest of the boys keep their heads down. I sit down to eat, and Yoongi instantly invites So-yeon to eat with us.
    "I can't believe you go to school here! I haven't seen you in years!" She squeals and I wonder if my ears are bleeding.
    "How's your mom? What have you been doing lately?" He asks as every bit of his attention is on the new female presence. The continued to talk for our entire lunch. I stand up throwing my trash away and tossing my tray where the dirty ones go and storm out of the dining hall. Nobody follows me out except for Yuri.
    "Do you want me to come home with you?" She asks but I just shake my head and let her be with Jimin. I saunter home in a sour mood. I've been ignored my whole life so why am I so upset about Yoongi ignoring me too?
    After a few hours there's still no word from Yoongi. It's like I was never there at all, he hasn't texted or called me not once since I left. I pout and pull the covers of my bed over my face not wanting to deal with anyone anymore.

    I wake up at 2pm with a splitting headache and I'm thankful there's no classes today. I check my phone as I make my way to the kitchen hoping Yuri had made coffee this morning. Going through my notifications I catch a glimpse of the date. It's my birthday. Sighing I go to check if Yuri were still here only to be disappointed. We always hang out on my birthday.
Throughout the day nobody contacts me. I sit watching tv wishing I could shake the lonely feeling when my phone rings and I jump hoping it's Yoongi.
    "Happy Birthday Bora!" My mom yells from the other end of the phone.
    "You don't have to yell."
    "Well, I'm sorry grumpy pants. I just wanted to wish my gorgeous daughter a happy 21st birthday!" She squeals and I can't help but giggle. We talk for about an hour before I feel my phone vibrate against my face.
    "I'll call you later eomma my boss is calling me." We say our goodbyes and I switch the call over to BamBams.
    "Alex, I need you to work tonight, one of the part time performers is sick."
    "Okay I'll see you in two hours." I hang up the phone and throw it onto the couch with a groan.
    "Guess I better get ready." Whispering to myself I trudge to my room to get ready for work. Slipping on a tight short white dress that I bought recently I twirl in the mirror checking to see how I look. Nodding in approval I grab my phone and keys and make my way to BamBams club.

    The parking lot is practically empty with only a few cars parked near the front of the building. I check the time and see that it's just after 9pm and I wonder if maybe someone big rented out the club or something.

    "Hey chief!" I wave to one of the guards standing near the entrance.
    "Hey Alex, I didn't know you were working tonight."
    "I wasn't but Bam needed some help so here I am." I say with a weak smile as he lets me in the doors. The moment I step inside I'm engulfed in a big group hug.
    "Happy Birthday Alex!" Everyone screams and I tear up at the sight. There's streamers and balloons all around the club as well as a big banner that says Happy Birthday on it above a table filled with presents.
    "You didn't think I'd forget, did you?" Yuri wraps me in a warm hug pulling me towards the big booth everyone is sitting at. I thank everyone and notice someone is missing.
    "Where's Yoongi?" The atmosphere gets dark, and the boys all look like they're hiding something.
    "He went out with So-yeon earlier and now he isn't answering anyone's phone calls." Jin speaks up with his head low. I scoff and grab one of the shots and slam it down followed by two more.
    "Bam! Where's the music?" I yell choosing to ignore the ache in my heart. He smiles and flips on the music as all the boys cheer and make their way to the center of the dance floor. The club is empty but it's still just as lively. Jimin and Yuri dance and I can tell that they both got a head start on drinking.
    "Hey babygirl did you miss me?" Someone whispers in my ear causing me to jump and turn around to face the person.
    "Yoongi!" I yell wrapping my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug.
    "Happy birthday Alex." He kisses me sweetly before I hear someone clear their throat behind us.
    "Oh yeah I hope you don't mind, I brought So-yeon too." My smile faded but I choose to mask it. I shake my head and pull Yoongi over to the table to sit with me while BamBam brings over more alcohol.

    The night drones on and before I know it, I'm struggling to stand upright on my own. I was dancing with Yuri when I decide I need a break from the flashing lights and head towards my dressing room to freshen up. I stumble into the bathroom and proceed to splash my face with cold water trying to regain some of my senses. I stand there cleaning the smudged makeup when I hear a loud thump come from the room next to me. Confused as to why anyone is back here, I make my way to the room next to mine and slowly open the door to check what the noise was. 

    My hands make their way to my mouth to stifle a scream at the horror in front of me. Half-naked is So-yeon and Yoongi on the floor in front of me. Yoongi is hovering over So-yeon trailing kisses down her neck as she wraps her fingers through his hair. Tears well up in my eyes and a whimper escapes my lips catching the attention of the two in front of me.
    "Shit, Alex! Wait!" I run through the club wishing I could turn back time and ignore what I had just seen. I bump into Taehyung, and he catches me before I hit the ground.
    "There's the birthday girl! Alex? Are you crying? What happened?" He questions wiping away my tears as Yoongi catches up to me.
    "Alex, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen she said she just wanted to talk but then she kissed me, and I lost control because of the alcohol. Please you have to forgive me." He begs trying to grab my hand.
    "I hate you." I mumble.
    "Alex please don't do this!" He yells catching the rest of the boy's attention.
    "What's going on?" Jin questions coming over to us.
    "Yoongi cheated on Alex with So-yeon." Taehyung seethes and I can tell he's trying to not hit the elder boy in front of him.
    "I knew she would cause trouble." Jin says running his hands through his hair.
    "Tae, take Alex home." With a quick nod, Taehyung scoops me up and carries me to his car. The ride is quiet as we speed off in the direction of town.
    "Alex I'm so sorry this happened. Today was supposed to be special for you and he wrecked it."
    "It's okay Tae. I still had a good time for the most part. I knew better than to let him get close to me." I sigh leaning my head against the window. He says nothing as we pull into the driveway of mine and Yuris shared home.
    "I'm here if you need a shoulder to cry on. So are the rest of the guys." I nod my head and give Tae a quick hug before making my way inside and to my room. Once inside I let out all of the emotions I had been concealing, crying until I couldn't cry anymore.
