Jay and I walked in silence through downtown. I was in no mood to talk, and Jay understood. Yuri always tried to force me to talk, she's an amazing friend and I don't know what I'd do without her, but our personalities are polar opposites sometimes. Jay walked looking ahead only sparing me a glance every other minute to check on me. Hands in his pockets with a blank expression and his serious demeanor in this moment reminds me of how Yoongi looks when he isn't bothering me. Yoongi. His name causes a lump to form in my throat as i attempt to choke down tears. He doesn't deserve your pain, Alex. I continue to remind myself as I bump into Jay who has stopped walking.
"We're here!" He chuckles grabbing my hand and tugging me inside.
"Welcome to Jack in the Box tattoo and piercing parlor. Do you have an appointment?" A younger boy speaks before looking up from a sketch he was working on. His bored expression changes into a wide smile once he catches sight of Jay.
"Hey Jay B! I thought you didn't have any appointments today?" The two chat for a minute before the younger boy turns to me and his smile widens.
"Who's this pretty lady? Your girlfriend?" The boy steps around the large desk and over to me.
"I'm Youngjae!" He extends his hand towards me making me realize Jay still had ahold of mine. He releases his grip with an awkward cough and goes to sift through papers on the desk.
"I'm Alex. Jay and I have a few classes together at the local college." Youngjaes eyes widen and a pink tint spreads through some of his face.
"Wahhh you're so pretty it's no wonder why Jay has a crush on you!" I giggle as he pinches my cheeks earning a slap from Jay.
"You're embarrassing." He mumbled while Youngjae and I just giggle.

The two show me around and introduce me to a few others working there, keeping the conversations shorts since they were working on people in their chairs. The sounds of the buzzing machines and light punk rock music through the overhead speakers mixing with the smell of ink and cleaning supplies created an intimidating but friendly atmosphere.
"Pretty cool huh?" Jay and I step into a side room with a curtain for a door and I take a seat on the stretcher looking bed.
"I think I could actually get used to being in here." I chuckle looking around at various packages filled with needles and sterilized jewelry and clamps.
"Sooo want a piercing?" Jay leans in with a mischievous grin.
"Uhhh I don't know. My mom would probably freak, and Yoongi would probably be upset at me letting you shove a needle through my skin." Jay sits back rolling his eyes.
    "Who cares what he thinks?"
"Well, he is my boyfriend. So, I guess in some way I do." I shrug.
"You're still gonna continue to date him after what he said to you?" I bite my lip and nod my head earning a sigh from Jay.
"Look Alex. It's no secret how I feel about you." He pauses before running his hands through his hair.
"I'm not saying this just because I want a chance with you, but I really feel that Yoongi isn't good enough for you. He's kind of a dick to you and that's not how anyone should be treated in a relationship." His eyes bore into mine the whole time he talks.
"I know I know. I don't know. Yoongi has this hold on me, and I still haven't figured out why yet. I've never been one to let anyone boss me around but for some reason Yoongi has a way of making me his lap dog." Jay chuckles darkly at my analogy.
"You're in love with him." My eyes widen and I whip my head up to stare back at him. It's silent for a few seconds before my brain processes what he just said.
"I do not love him. We haven't even been together that long." I laugh nervously.
"Time together or apart doesn't matter. You have no control over your heart. It does what it wants when it wants and right now it's fallen in love with Min Yoongi." Me? In love? I never thought I would fall in love with anyone. The thoughts swirl in my head making me slightly nauseous before Jay chuckles and pats the side of my thigh snapping me away from my thoughts.

"Chill. No need to dwell on it. Just see where the universe takes you."
"I think the universe likes to play sick jokes on my life." I mumble staring at the poster on the wall that diagramed the different facial piercings and their names.
"Want one?" I hear a voice behind me before nodding my head and pointing to the small nose hoop on the womans face in the diagram.
"Nostril piercing? Basic yet striking, good choice. Hop up on the bed and I'll get set up." I wiggle into a comfortable position on the bed while watching Jay. He slips on some black surgical gloves and lays down a paper towel that looks like the one dentists attach to you. He puts down a sterilized clamp, needle, a small silver bar and an alcohol wipe. Opening the alcohol wipe he turns to me and wipes the area making sure there is no bacteria left that could cause an infection. With a purple washable marker, he marks a small dot on the right side of my nose and holds up a mirror so I can verify if I like the spot or not. Nodding my head, he trades out the mirror for a white clamp and closes it around my nose around the spot he marked.
"Are you ready? This might sting a bit."
"It takes a lot to hurt me, my pain tolerance is high." Jay giggles and nods his head taking the sterile needle out of the packaging.
"Hold still." He says before holding the needle up to the marked area on my nose. We lock eyes and I feel his breath fan my face before a I feel a harsh pinch shoot through my nose. My eyes tear up a bit at the pain and before
I notice, Jay is slipping the clamp off of my nose and holding a mirror up to me.
"Congratulations, you're officially a badass." He says while cleaning up the small trickle of blood that ran down my nose.
"I've always been a badass." We both chuckle and talk for a while before I feel my phone vibrate against the side of my leg.
