My body jolted upright at the sudden harsh knocking.
"Alex?! Are you in there?!"
"Y-yeah Yuri! I just wanted some time alone so I stayed the night here!" I shouted back earning an "okay" from my best friend. Listening to her footsteps fade down the hall I let out a breath and looked down at myself. I was naked with one of my jackets covering half my body. As I thought about the events that unfolded last night my head started pounding.
"I'm never drinking again." I groaned standing up and slipping on my sweatpants and crop top from yesterday. I exited the room slowly hoping nobody else was here and made my way out of the back door of the club. The sun hitting my face made my head hurt worse than it already did. The early morning wind nipped at my skin as I walked down the street, my ringtone breaking me away from my thoughts.
Tae Tae: We need to talk.
You: Meet me at the cafe near your house in 10 minutes, we can talk there.
Tae Tae: 👍🏽Putting away my phone I picked up speed and headed towards Singularity Cafe. The streets were busy with people heading to work or school, all on their phones or talking to whoever is next to them. Laughing and smiling without any real cares and I wished I could go back to when life was simple. I approached the cafe and seen Taehyung already inside at a table staring out the window with his brows furrowed deep in thought. Last night coming back into my mind and I wondered which way this conversation was going to go.
"Hey Tae." I breathed walking towards the table and snapping him out of his thoughts. He gave me a soft weary smile and motioned for me to sit.
"I already ordered coffee for us, I figured you'd need it." He let out a strained chuckle and I wondered why he looked so nervous. Taehyung was never nervous around me. Not when he was flirting, not when we made out at that party and definitely not last night. We sat in silence until the waitress brought our coffee. We both gave her a smile before turning back to each other, neither of us daring to speak first. I sipped the hot coffee awkwardly until Taehyung let out a loud sigh.
"Alex I'm sorry." My eyebrows raised trying to process what he said.
"Sorry? For what?"
"Look, last night was a m-mistake. I don't know how you're feeling right now so I figured I would apologize in advance. I don't want to hurt you or our friendship in any way." He looked down at his hands while the atmosphere returned to silence once again. I burst into a laughing fit catching the boy off guard.
"Tae, as terrible as it sounds, I agree with you. Last night was a mistake. I was drunk and so were you, Yoongi and I had just broken up and I think I just wanted some attention and a distraction from him." The boy smiled at my words grabbing and holding my hands.
"I was so scared I was about to make you hate me. I still want to be friends it's just after last night I didn't feel the same way about you as I thought I did. I was so angry that hyung had asked you out and I really thought I liked you but now I think it was just lust."
"It's okay Tae. We're still friends. We both agree that what happened last night was just a terrible drunk decision on both our parts. As long as were on the same page I think we can move past this." I smiled at him earning a giggle from Taehyung.
"Be honest though I was good, wasn't I?"
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes as he kept laughing.
"Oh, come on you can't deny it was good!" His boxy smile made me laugh and he put his hands up in victory as he had succeeded in making me laugh. We continue drinking our coffee and talking about my visit back home and random stuff as well as Jimin and Yuri and how annoyingly cute they are together.
"Speaking of relationships, you really made Yoongi hyung mad at the club last night. He said something about he knew what you were up to on stage." I sighed at the mention of Yoongi. I still have no clue what to do about that situation.
"I think you should talk to him. He cares about you a lot."
"He didn't seem to care about me when he had some So-yeon underneath him." I scoffed.
"Aish, yeah he fucked up with that one, but I think after our mistake you can relate to him a little bit. Yeah, he did it while you both were still a thing but it's almost the same situation. He was drunk and made a mistake." Taehyung had a point. I hated that he was right. I still didn't know if we would get back together but what I did know that he deserved for me to listen to his explanation and apology.
"I guess I should text him and let him explain then." I mumbled.
"Good. Because I've never seen hyung care about anyone as much as he cares about you." He looked up as if he were in thought.
"But you know what we have to do though right?" I questioned earning another loud sigh.
"We have to tell Yoongi what happened last night." Taehyung flinched at the mention of telling his elder that he had sex with the only girl that he's ever cared about. Yoongi was terrible with managing his anger, so this was going to be a dangerous conversation. We may need the rest of the boys to stop Yoongi from killing Taehyung. I sighed pulling out my phone and texting him letting him know I was coming over to talk.
You: Let's talk. I'll be over in 5Putting my phone back into my pocket, Taehyung and I walked out to his car and mentally prepared ourselves for the argument ahead. The ride was silent. Neither of us knew what to say to the other so Taehyung turned on the radio and a Day6 song starts playing. The rest of the ride consisted of Taehyung trying to get me to smile or laugh by making weird faces and singing off key in purpose. As we pulled up to his shared house my smile faded once more. Let's get this over with.
