The Accident

Chapa's POV

I was angry at Mika. We were facing each other on top of Mount swellview. The air was quiet besides for the background noises from the helicopters flying by and the cricket chirping, "Chapa I'm sorry for what I did.". I could hear the sorrow in her voice but i didn't believe it, "really mika your sorry" I screamed pain filling my voice. I saw mika tears flooding her eyes, "Chapa I'm sorry I Can't do this anymore" in my quickened confused state I felt my anger fading away. I regretted what I said back at the man's nest. Slowly approaching Mika frequently stopping as each step I took she backed furth toward the edge of the mountain, "mika please." I knew what she was planning to do. I had to think fast about what my next move was well she was getting closer and closer to no return. 

I started to run towards Mika. She noticed and turned to run faster trying to keep something of an equal distance between us. When she was about to jump I grabbed her shoulder pulling her but causing me to trip as I fell forward. I could hear Mika screaming my name, as I saw her peck over the edge of the mountain crying. As I fell I rotated watching the ground approach me quickly, I closed my eyes accepting death. With my eyes closer I felt my body hit the ground with the sound of my alarm clock.

I opened my eyes to see myself on the ground of my bedroom , my head in pain from hitting the floor. Picking myself up to my feet from my bedside dresser I saw my phone flash with text messages from my friends. Glance at the message asking where I was I freaked out seeing the time. I was late to meeting my friends before we went to the man nest. I dropped my phone rushing to get dressed. Without a second though on my outfit I grabbed my phone as I put on my shoes and ran out the door towards swag. Running through the alley ways, In my opinion the quickest way of going. I noticed a sketch group of people hanging around a van, I stood there wondering if it was worth it or not.

When I looked at the clock I knew I was going to be late to class so why not have a reason, Blowing a bubble I could feel the familiar fabric with the flash of greenish blue light excite me. I slowly corned the alleyway examining the group dressed a volt like Batman in a red costume staying to the shadows   I could see at least five men standing round the back of the van with the doors open. One of men holding a briefcase and another holding a bag, thinking of how excited i was This could or was my first drug bust. I knew I wasn't supposed to be excited about it but I was. I could feel my power flowing through me as I got closer. As I approached them I had a bad feeling about the whole thing but I really wanted to defeat them in the best way I could from any superhero in a red costume could, "Yo is this- is this the drug deal that was planned today I didn't know it's was happening here you could have told me" I sarcastically mentioned trying to Be a spidy comedian. I could tell they were not happy to see me. 

As the criminal turned One of the men grabbed and threw the bag into the van screaming, "end her" I didn't know how to respond to that, if i should feel good or bad but either way as the hench man approached I started to form electricity in my hands to shock them. As they got close I felt something hit me in the bad throwing me into the van. When I got up I could see that the drug deal was over but Mika and the others were standing around me. As I opened my eyes I could hear the relief in their voice, "oh good she is okay, What was that for Mika" Miles and Bose both said looking at mika. I looked at Mika in her eyes with pain as she had tears rolling down her face, "I'm sorry Chapa please forgive me." I could not think right with the pain I was feeling, "I hate you! This isn't your first mess up, Mika and it not every your last! Get away from me and jump... just jump off mount swellview." Miles and Bose looked at me shocked at what I said. I was not thinking of what I was saying But i did see Mika running away as I got to my feet, with Miles and Bose looking at me as Miles was the first to ask, "what's your problem?" I gave them a blank stare as Miles went on, "You just told my sister to go kill herself." Both Miles and Bose stared at me and waited for me to think of his words for a second before they both walked off trying to relive their own emotions. As his words sank into me, with my expression going from blank to fear. I know what I had to do to fix my mistake. The only problem was I didn't know if I was fast enough. I ran as fast as I could trying to ignore the pain, with my mind set on one thing: saving mika.

 When I made it to the mountaintop I saw Mika meditating. As I approached her I saw her jump a little as she heard me get closer. I started to remember the dream I had. I was hoping that I could change the outcome from it. As we stood in a circle with Mika by the edge of the cliff. There was an awkward silence between us as we stood there looking into each other's eyes. I could hear police helicopters flying by and the cricket chirping around us. I didn't want to be the first to talk but as I was thinking of what to say Mika said, "Chapa I'm sorry for what I did.". I could hear the sorrow in her voice but i was fighting a civil war inside of me, "MIka im-m-m sorry" i whispered with pain in my voice. I saw mika in tears as she thought on whether to believe me. I understood her hesitation but I felt a good feeling that it wasn't going to end with a death until Mika said, "Chapa I'm sorry but your right im worthless I can't do this anymore" hearing those words hit me like bullets hit me filling me with more pain. I slowly approached Mika but stopped as each step I took she backed further toward the edge of the mountain, "mika please i'm sorry for what i said, please don't do this." I had to think fast about what my next move was as she was getting closer and closer to the edge. I paused looking at Mika not wanting to push her, "mika please come back" she wasn't listening but she keeped backing up towards the edge. I really didn't want her to jump but I knew she was not going to listen. With my last breath of hope I ran as fast As i could reaching her as she took her last steep, grabbing her shoulder pulling her back onto land Making sure not to trip. I stopped myself right before the edge on the rocks with a feeling of relief. I watched as Mika looked at me jumping up. We both could hear a rock shifting under us. Looking at each other in the eyes frozen in place I reacted fast pushing Mika away grabbing the edge of the rock well the cliff edge underneath me started falling but failed to hold on. I watched as I started falling hearing Mika scream my name, seeing her face appear from the edge of the mountain crying. I fell looking towards my best friend closing my eyes accepting my death for all the trouble I caused listening to mika scream quiet to nothing.
