Wyatt's no longer showing any kindness.

He did in the beginning, but as I continued to be disobedient, he changed. He's angrier, more aggressive, more cruel. He's left multiple scars.

You might be saying, hey Evelyn, you're a tri-brid. How do you have scars? Well, without the proper amount of blood, my body can't heal like normal. No blood, no healing.

He won't feed me anything besides a few milliliters of blood. It's not enough for my body to heal. I sit on the bed, staring off into space as I let my thoughts run wild.

What would my life be like if I never ran away? What would it be like if my family was normal?

The door suddenly opens, snapping me back to reality. Wyatt looks angry. No. Livid.

I didn't do anything, but I just know he's gonna take it out on me. "Your stupid family is ruining all my plans!" He growls, grabbing my arm above my elbow and yanking me off the bed. "What the hell did you tell them?" He asks, his voice low.

I didn't tell them anything. I sent them a letter, but only about me being okay and not dead. I never said anything about my location. Partially because I have no clue where I am.

"I-I didn't tell them anything." I manage to choke out.

A sharp sting occurs on the left side of my face, my head snapped to the right. He slapped me. It isn't the first time, though. And it sure as hell won't be the last.

He shoves me to the ground and starts kicking my stomach, screaming at me.

How I'm a mistake; I know.

How I never should have been born; I know.

How I'm a monster; I know.

How everything is always my fault; I know.

He makes sure to point out all my flaws and insecurities. After what feels like forever of him doing anything to hurt me — physically and mentally — he leaves.

That's his true nature. An abusive, possessive, psychotic man who shouldn't even exist.

I lay on the floor, staring up at the ceiling.

I can't feel anything. I feel numb. I want to cry, but I can't. It's almost as if I have an emotional block.

I slowly sit up and stumble toward the bed. A piece of paper lays on the bed, and I quickly unfold it.

Dear Lynn,

We haven't found your exact location, but we're close. We're trying our hardest to find you and save you from Wyatt. He's got you under a cloaking spell, so we need you to run. Try and get out and away, so we can find you. We'll find you. Run to wherever you want to for all I care, since we know you're not gonna want to come back. Just let us know that you're out and safe.
