My head is pounding. I groan as I slowly wake up.
What time is it?
I look around the room, realizing I am in a cell, Josie and Oliver on both sides of me. I'm tied to a chair with vervain ropes and chains.
"Bloody bastards." I mutter under my breath. I try to move my wrists, but they burn each time I move.
Pathetic. Hurting from a little bit of vervain.
"Josie. Josie, wake up." I call. She doesn't answer. "Josie!" I holler.
Her eyes flutter open. "What happened?" She asks, confused.
"It's time." She shakes her head vigorously, fear evident in her expression. "I know you're scared. I'll bring you back, I promise." I assure her, and she hesitantly nods.
She closes her eyes, opening them a minute later. Her eyes are pure black and she siphons from the chains before breaking them off with a spell. I close my eyes, doing the same. My view is narrowed and dark again. I tear my arms free, doing the same to Josie and Oliver. "Go. I'll find you." I say, and she nods, disappearing with Oliver.
I start to kick the door down, but I'm a lot weaker than I thought. I take a quick breath before using as much strength as I can to kick the door down, stepping on it as I leave. I walk up the stairs before using my vampire speed to sneak up behind Quinn and snap her neck.
"QUINN!" Adelaide screams as Quinn's body collapses to the ground.
"I'm baaaack." I prolong in a sing-song, smirking. "Don't worry," I fake-pout as she looks at me with fear. "You're next." My pout turns into a scowl as I snap her neck, her body falling beside Quinn's. I turn to the others and hold my hands out. "Who wants a turn?" I ask, smirking.
Everyone starts coming at me, one by one, but I block all of their hits. I feel something stab my stomach and I look down, finding a dart. I tear it out and jump upstairs, running to the first bedroom I can find.
I jump out the window, landing on the ground and rolling in the glass before jumping up and running to the car where Josie and Oliver sit in a car, waiting. "DRIVE!" I scream as I jump in, slamming the door. Oliver slams on the gas, speeding away like a bat out of hell.
Vervain darts.
My vision blurs again and darkness surrounds me.
