"I bit you?" Ev asks me after Angel explains what happened.
"But you healed me."
"Oh my god. I bit you!" She yells, staring wide-eyed at me.
"You've said this."
"You know, every time you're here, you end up in trouble." Adelaide speaks up after being silent for the entire rerun.
"Miss I-like-to-attract-trouble." Angel comments, giving her a stern look, but I can see the soft spot she has for her.
"I've already said that I have enemies." She gives Angel a stern look with raised eyebrows. "Not my problem." She shrugs. "And, oh my god, Ady. I almost killed you!" She suddenly exclaims, her features furrowed in concern.
And she's back to processing.
"You know, the good thing about that hex was I got to feel the joy of snapping your neck instead of imagining it on my victims." Quinn speaks, her voice sarcastic.
"That isn't even funny. You tried to cut off my hands when you went through that phase." Evelyn says.
"Am I missing something?" I question, completely confused on what they're talking about.
"Oh, yeah. Quinn here," She gestures to Quinn. "went through a murder phase. She killed and took their hands for her 'garden'. At one point, she knocked me out, chained me up, and attempted to cut off my hands."
She says it so casually, it seems like it's normal for her. Although, it might be.
"It wasn't a phase, Mom." Quinn mocks, using a deep voice. "It was actually me being convinced by a vengeful person who was looking for her best friend and used me to pass the time." Quinn smiles, but it's not kind.
"Who disappeared, by the way." Ev says, her arm thrown over the back of the couch and her right leg up on the seat beside her. Her hands fidget with each other as she smiles sarcastically at Quinn.
"You're the one who tortured her."
"You're the one who let her get in your head." Ev retorts.
"Guys. We're getting off topic." Adelaide intervenes before their bickering can continue. There is so much to unpack with this conversation.
"Right. So, I bit Xander, he got a werewolf bite, I almost killed Ady, Quinn killed me more than once, you found the witch, and reversed the hex. Poof, I'm back. That sum it up?" She asks, smiling sarcastically at Adelaide.
Adelaide attempts to glare. "You—"
The doors open and Evelyn is suddenly beside me. The entire Mikaelson family — which disappeared to find ways to fix Ev — walk in, determined looks on their faces.
"Mom, Dad." Ev calls, a smile on her face.
"You are not my daughter." A brunette glares at Ev, and her smile dissipates.
