After Daffy had finished huffing out his anger at the landlord, he immediately walked over to the discarded pile and started picking up some of his clothes, hoping that they're not all destroyed from the sloppy moving work.Bugs, meanwhile, decided to get out the car and joins with Daffy to help him pick up some of his stuff off the ground.
"Hey, are you okay?" Bugs asked while patting Daffy on the shoulder, in concern.
"Sigh. Yes, but now I'll have to find somewhere else to stay and I don't even have the money for anything. I can't even buy my own recliner now because someone broke into my piggy bank and took out all of my money. Every last penny.... that I had been saving up for a lifetime.... gone, just like that. I'm really seriously having the worst day of my life." Daffy said sadly while holding onto his crushed piggy bank close to his chest.
Bugs's ears suddenly start to fall over in hurt.
No one deserves to be tossed out on the streets with nowhere to go over some money troubles.
He was glad to have met him because if he were to be in that same predicament, it would have just as easily crushed him too.
The only difference was, he had his best friend to help him pick up the pieces.
While Daffy.... had no one like that to even take the time to glance in his direction.
He then thought of an idea and smiled a little to lighten the mood.
It may be a bit tight in space and he might even have to talk to Rodney about this, but it'll have to do for now.
"Well, if you want, you could always move over at my place so that way you won't be homeless. And you can even stay there for as long as you like until you're able get a new apartment. One that's more affordable and closer to your work." Bugs offered as Daffy looked over at him, confused.
Bugs just keep surprising him in every way.
And he doesn't even know the real reason behind of all of his goodwill.
Was he truly that caring to him?
Had an Angel truly been sent to him from the high heavens to watch over him after his grandmother had passed away?
A part of him wanted to hug him so tightly for being the best first friend to ever do such kind things.
While a small portion of his heart pulls him back and tells him to be cautious around his intentions.
Either way though, would he like to know why he was that generous?
Daffy thought subconsciously in his mind while replying back to him.
"Really? Are you sure you want to do that? I can always get a motel room or something...." Daffy was going to say until Bugs cut him off.
"Trust me, it's fine. I'll even talk to Rodney about the whole arrangement and...." Bugs was going to say until the name seems to bother Daffy for some reason.
"Who's Rodney?" Daffy asked, curiously.
"Oh, he's my roommate. We've known each other since we were little kids at camp, and we even work together at the cafe. He's been my best friend for a long time now." Bugs explained.
"Oh..." Daffy said softly while lowering his head down a little with his heart sinking down, fast.
He had this new raw gut feeling inside him and it was aching in pain.
Even though he hardly knows the guy.
His mind was tugging at him otherwise, as if he was someone that you just couldn't let go.
