After everything was all set up for Daffy's employment application, Bugs then went on ahead and began basic training for Daffy.Starting with one of the first classic drinks that a lot of people get at cafes.
Caramel macchiato.
As easy as it sound, however, it was actually proving to be much more difficult for him to teach than he had thought.
"So, a caramel macchiato would simply be 4 pumps of caramel and steamed milk before adding the espresso shots and then..." Bugs instructed while Daffy looked on at him in a mindless daze.
He was really enjoying this quiet time between the two of them.
And it felt nice to know that he also doesn't have to suffer with constantly sweating and pulling out his own back like his old job used to do.
Or to feel reminded that he was so alone all the time, everyday after work.
Which was why he would often stop by at the cafe, to help him get used to crowds of people around him.
Where he would also ironically get to see Bugs all the time working throughout his round-the-clock shifts.
For the most part, at this point, that old apartment Daffy used to care so much about, was now nothing more than just a place that was meant to be evicted because from there, it would only mean that he gets to spend more time with Bugs, more than anything else.
As Daffy took more time wondering on about how things are meant to happen with lots of possibilities constantly battling in his mind, Bugs, who noticed that he was drifting off into space, tries to wake him up.
"....So, did you get the gist of it, now Daffy? Daffy? Hey Daffy? Hello?" Bugs asked while trying to wave his hand over his face until Daffy was finally able to snap out of his daydreaming in an instant!
"Huh? O...oh r...right! Yes, I got it." Daffy stuttered nervously, hoping that Bugs didn't catch him lallygagging.
But it was too late.
"Haha. You didn't even hear what I said did you? Stop dozing off like that and pay attention or else you'll get us both fired." Bugs teased lightly with a nudge from his elbow.
"Heh, sorry. C...can you repeat that last one again? I forgot where the milk goes." Daffy stumbled out with pink blushes blooming over his cheeks.
Oh my goodness.
I think I embarrassed him.
Bugs thought with a small chuckle under his breath.
"Pfft. You're so silly. Look I'll give you an insiders tip about these drinks. The very first thing that you want to do for almost all of them is syrup pumps. That's the easy part. Then, all you have to do is pour out the milk with the espresso shots and you should be good to go. Oh! Also, don't forget about the whipped cream with the toppings afterwards, okay? And if you ever get stuck, just read over this handbook here and you'll be able to know what else to put in them." Bugs said while showing him the handbook, which contained many pages worth of drink order with step by step formulas given for each one.
"Okay." Daffy mumbled out in response before the two continue the training session.
With thankfully not that many customers in line to order drinks for the rest of the morning.
Since poor Daffy was still trying to grasp the best he could with some of those drink recipes.
