After Bugs drives them back home, he got out of the car and walked with Daffy up to their shared apartment before stopping by the front door so that they can talk about whatever was on their minds, first."I had a fun time today." Daffy said with a brightened smile.
"Same. It's actually been a fun week for the both of us. I wonder what we'll do if things do turn around for us. That performance from your piano solo was incredible. I've never heard such beautiful music until I got to hear you play. You really have talent." Bugs complimented.
"Oh, I don't know." Daffy said with a modest yet also embarrassed tone while griping his arm nervously.
"No, I mean it. You're...amazing." Bugs said with the both of them, blushing high red.
With their hearts pounding fast.
And minds swirled in a heap of emotions as they lean in close.
Their lips almost of about a centimeter away with their breaths conjoined together in unison.
"Hey Daffy?" Bugs asked, softly.
"Yeah?" Daffy replied back in a quiet mumble.
"What if... I were to tell you that I was in lo...." Bugs was going to say until the door immediately swung open with Rodney standing the doorway.
Causing the two to instantly flinch back away from each other.
"Hey, what you guys standing out here for? Come on in. Its freezing cold, outside." Rodney asked, confused without noticing that Bugs's and Daffy's faces were flared up red from the awkward moment.
"Rodney? I didn't know you got back so soon." Bugs said as him and Daffy walked inside before Rodney shuts the door behind them.
"Well, I have something big to tell you and it's going to blow your mind." Rodney said, excitedly but at the same time, in a business-like tone as if he was going make the deal of a lifetime.
Which indicted to Daffy that he may have to wait until later to talk to him about
"Alright, I'm gonna go to bed then. Goodnight, Bugs." Daffy said while initially walking to his bedroom until Bugs caught up to him and grabbed his arm, lightly.
"Wait Daffy, about what I wanted to tell you..." Bugs was going to say before he was interrupted.
"Don't worry. You can tell me later before we go to our work shift tomorrow" Daffy said with a small smile.
"Work shift?" Rodney mumbled from a distance, in a mixture of confusion and somewhat peeved off tone.
"Okay then, I'll see you later. Goodnight." Bugs said while he watched Daffy go inside Bugs's bedroom to rest before walking over to the kitchen and gets a weird reaction from Rodney who overheard them.
"Bugs are you being for real right now? I leave you alone for one week and now you're all of a sudden, replacing me? What happened to being best buddies, man?" Rodney asked, half teasing and half in an odd tone that would make everyone believe at this point that he was simply jealous of the idea that Daffy was hanging around a lot with his best friend.
"Rodney, it's not like that. He wasn't happy with his old job, so I helped him get this one and that way he won't have to be so far from home." Bugs said, rolling his eyes at Rodney for being a melodramatic over something that wasn't any of his business.
"Well, it doesn't matter anyways because I just got us two front row seats to high heaven investment. We're going to be rich Bugs! Gold stinking rich! Just like we've always wanted." Rodney exclaimed out loudly.
