When Bugs got back to his apartment, he lies back down on his bed and wondered what it'd be like if they had met earlier.

Things could have been different.

They would be able to understand each other better and things could have been less complicated.

He even wished that he would have been able to help Daffy with whatever troubles he was going through all that time as well.

Rather than waste a majority of his life holding onto all these empty dreams of being an inventor for nothing.

Because all he ever wanted in his life now was really someone to spend time with in his seemly lonely world.

He then sat up from his bed and lowered his head on his knees.

He missed Daffy so much that it was already killing him.

Waking up next to him was probably the best thing that happened to him because....

He would see him happy and in less pain without ever feeling isolated again.

Which was why it become so difficult to let go.

And now, he doesn't know what to do or how to tell him that he loves him without straining the one bond that they have left from breaking down even further.

So for the rest the night, he slowly starts to close his eyes and tries to go into a lucid-like (voluntary control dream) sleep.

Because he doesn't want his mind to ever realize that he was feeling so alone right now.

Then next morning came at its peak as Bugs sleepily got up and rubbed his eyes while going into the kitchen for a quick breakfast and made some coffee to go before driving on down to work in his car.

When he got there, the first thing that had popped up was the memory of Daffy being a regular customer here until they officially became friends throughout all of his shifts.

The images of these moments were rapidly flashing through his head like a scrapbook while his face begins to slowly dread in misery.

At this point, there were too many memories of this place to where, out of fear, he has to find a way to remove himself from it all.

Because he could no longer stand of being reminded of it anymore.

Which told him that if he ever wants to start over, then quitting this job to start fresh in another line of work, would be the first step for him to do.

So, he then walked over to his boss's office, that was located at the back end of the store and opened the door to speak with him.

"Hey Ralph, can I talk to you for a second?" Bugs asked.

"Sure kid, what is it that I can do for you? And where's your friend, by the way? Isn't he supposed to be on the same shift as you..." Ralph was going to say until he was interrupted.

"I quit." Bugs said bluntly which staggered his boss a bit in jolting surprise.

As if he was struck in the face by a newspaper laying out in front of him.
