The next day peaked in at about of an early sunrise as Daffy starts to slowly open his eyes, awake and notices that he is feeling a bit snugged in his sleep.

He then slightly turns his head over to see why that was the case and widens his eyes in surprise.

It was Bugs's arms, wrapped up around him in a form of a hug hold, like someone holding onto a teddy bear in comfort.

At first, he starts to panic and wondered how Bugs would react if he woke up and saw what he was unconsciously doing.

But then another thought came to mind that had suggested a very much different reason for why he was like this, whether or not he was asleep when it happened.

He begins to blush in bright pink and laughed a little at him, quietly.

It was cute to see this side of his friend's life.

Even though they haven't been friends long enough to normally feel this way.

Despite the many paths that they have both constantly crossed every day at that same coffee shop, he was actually starting to feel really comfortable around him.

It reminded him of the hug that he had just given to Bugs last night as a 'thank you' for his thoughtfulness and kind gestures.

That was, until the embrace had somehow turned into something much more....

Warm and tender.

Almost as if he was someone that was meant to be in his life.

He then slowly turns his body the other way so that he could see Bugs up close, face to face.

And sure enough, he was seeing a peaceful Angel sleeping soothingly with his mouth opened slightly, showing the gaps of his front two teeth.

Soon Daffy's heart begins to heavily drop fast with his mind burning up in a fluster.

He was having a hard time believing that this was all true.

Why on earth would someone like Bugs, care so much for like a guy like me?

Daffy wondered, thinking about how they personally met in the first place.

When he was the one becoming a jerk to him before turning around and somehow guilt tripping him into letting him stay over at his place.

That was one thing....

But now he had offered him a way to get out of his old miserable job, just so he could feel closer to home with him....

He didn't know what to say anymore.

Honestly, Bugs have been nothing but kind to him, this entire time.

And the heartfelt compassion was eating him alive.

The thought of what he thinks, were 'selfish' acts, had now started to worry him again as well.

With his insecurities getting the best of him, he wasn't sure if he even deserved it.

By the time it was at around 10 am in the morning, with Daffy already had drifted back to sleep from his overwhelming stress, Bugs slowly begins to open his eyes as he looks over before widening his eyes and immediately holding onto his breath in surprise.

Shoot!

What do I do?

He's going to freak out if he sees that I'm holding him!

Bugs thought in a panic as he slowly starts to unravel his arms inch by inch, so that he wouldn't wake him up.

Finally, after nearly two minutes later, he was able to free himself without Daffy budging one bit and sighed in relief, before that expression had quickly turned upset as he shifted himself in place with him laying on his side still, next to him, face to face.

He looked at Daffy in a saddened stare, wishing that he could stay snuggled to him longer but knows that he has to eventually get up for work soon.

So, to his lonely disappointment, he starts to sit up and scootches himself off the bed before heading to the kitchen to make some breakfast for them.

A moment or two later, Daffy begins to open his eyes again before the realization hits him hard as he grabs a nearby pillow and holds onto it tightly around his arms, to hide the pain.

He was already starting to miss that hug.

Still, neither of them could tell the other that they would rather spend the day resting in each other's arms than anything else in the world.

After Daffy pulled himself up from the bed, he met up with Bugs in the kitchen and joined him for breakfast.

With the two eating their plates of food in awkward silence, not knowing that they are both aware of what just happened or why the atmosphere felt so uneasy in the first place.

Once they were done getting ready, Bugs then drove them over to the coffee shop and acknowledged to his boss, Ralph, of Daffy's presence over the phone.

When they got there, Bugs walks over to Ralph, who was in the back of the front counter at the time prepping for the shifts ahead and explains the situation in full detail; while Daffy waits in one of the guest tables.

He simply stated that his friend needed a better job and wanted to see if he was available to work around the same shifts as him since Rodney was off to New York and the staff was in need of more hire anyways.

With addition of also offering to help him learn the drinks for the training process of the job, but only if it was okay.

Ralph then, took a moment or so to decipher if this would be good for the shop, since Daffy was the one who caused a commotion a while back ago over a drink incident.

But, knowing how Bugs is very honest with people he has come across with, Ralph decides to consider it and nodded his head in approval, with the assumption that they must have made amends somehow outside of work.

"Okay, but only on one condition, you two better not be fighting at any given point during your shifts because if I catch you making a scene in front of the other customers, you and your friend has to go, got it?" Ralph asked in a stern voice, but not in a way that one won't take too seriously because of the fact that he is more laid-back than he presents and is only just trying to set an example for his employees.

"I got it, Mr. Ralph. We'll do our best to behave ourselves." Bugs replied back, politely as Ralph's expression begin to loosen up lightly and crossed his arms firmly.

"Alright, I'll take your word for it then. Why don't you grab him an extra apron from the back and help him get started on making the coffees in order while I get some paperwork in order so that he can sign in properly from the kiosk." Ralph informed.

"I'm on it, sir. Oh! And for his address, you can put down my apartment building. I've been helping him move in since last week, so he'll live with me for a while." Bugs explain as Ralph's eyes start to widen in surprise.

"Geez, kid. He must be one heck of a special guy for you two to be such close friends." Ralph said in confusion.

"Yeah, he is." Bugs said as he looked over at Daffy, with the two looking directly at each other with bright smiles on their faces at a small distance.
