"Ok, is this how I do my eyeliner? Oh! That's not eyeliner! Haha!" Jake's brown eyes lit up as he tried to put an eyebrow pencil to his eye. Jake smiled and I almost let out a small giggle.
"Yep, that went viral alright. I eventually found the eyeliner. But still can't put it on me to save my life!" He explained while everyone in the restaurant cheered when his user name appeared.
The next one to go onto the screen was Kim's video. It was a montage of her in pretty clothes, some showed a lot of skin, some of the outfits were "retro" as my dad's friend Belinda would say and others were very shiny.
It ended with her smiling bright and waving as the screen went black her user name popped up.
"The sad thing is I don't have some of those outfits anymore. I gave them to my cousins when I didn't want them anymore" Kim sighed as she took a sip from the drink the waitress had just brought over.
Next was Max and for some reason, he kept looking down as his glass was already half empty.
"That damn LA hotel room.
The night that everything changes.
You fucked with my brain.
You were everything I had.
But now I'm glad because I see your true color."
Max's voice cried out in tune with a melancholic sound, then his video ended and his user name faded in the background. Max didn't say a word and Kim looked angry.
"Are you serious?" Kim screeched as she slammed her hand on the table.
Max declared that Kim was the reason behind him going viral as he shot out of his seat and walked out. I stood up and chased after, not sure why. When we came out into the parking lot. I grabbed the sleeve of his shirt.
"Please come back inside. We're here to have a nice time right? Forget what Kim said. It's your account! You do you!" I stated as Max's jaw tightened.
Our phone's buzzed and a message from Ft. Beat appeared.
"Please come back into the restaurant. We'll all discuss what happens when you guys get back to the house. For now, enjoy a nice meal."
Max sighed, nodded towards me and the two of us sat went back in, and ate a nice meal of a variety of salads, chicken, (well the others did. I don't really eat meat) and steamed veggies and even if I could, I wouldn't of eaten Jake's lobster due to my sea food allergy.
Lisa's video of her dressed up in cosplay from the show about a war within nature came up, I was amazed by her confidence in a skin-tight costume. Lisa blushed during her last pose. It was very seductive, her eyebrows rose to a sexy angle, and then the screen blacked out to her username.
Last but not least, mine. I guess we had an order.
"A feeling wretched my gut...but not just any feeling. It was awkward, strange even. Foreign. Something I wasn't used to. It was like a whole new life had awakened in my eyes..."
My voice on the screen read. I cringed every time I stuttered. The first time I ever read something from one of my dad's old books. Somehow I kept messing up throughout that entire chapter until the video ended and my user name popped up.
When we got back to the house, things were tense. Like tense.
Then all of our phones rang.
"Please turn on the smart tv in the living room. It's time we all had a discussion.
Ft. Beat"
Jake got the remote as the rest of us sat down. Then Mr. Crane's face showed up on the screen. He didn't look pleased.
