Mom kept glaring at Max and his dad. She was pissed that Max had the guts to be chilled.

"So, Max, how's the new album coming along?" my mom purred while perching her head on top of her perfect hand. Max shrugged before explaining how he already had a couple new songs in progress. I knew one of them was about a girl with a pretty blue eyes and a cute smile.

"It's going great Mrs. Jones. It may be done by the end of the month if I keep working like I am. I'm glad that I finally have some inspiration." Max snorted out while pushing his hair out of his eyes. My mother looked over at me with a deadly glare as Max continuously scroll through his phone. Max was obvious to my mother's stare.

"Well, that's good. You know, I'm glad you and Kim are getting along again. You were so cute together! Oh god I remember all those dates you two went on when you guys started dating." My mom chirped while looking down at her nails.

"Yeah." Max muttered. I saw his jaw tense up when my mother started droning on about mine and Max's former romance. Some of those memories' kind of hurt. Like the one time that Max and I celebrated my birthday at my favorite restaurant. It wasn't a wild party like I wanted but at least Max tried. Oh, like another time, Max got me a ring he saw. It didn't have a diamond in it but at least it was from a nice store.

"Yeah, that's nice" Max muttered while texting really fast to someone. I looked up and saw Bianca staring down at her phone and giggling. Her cheeks her painted pink and she had a glow in her blue eyes.

I cleared my throat and pushed some of my hair back. Everyone looked up.

"Oh my I'm sorry Kim, please excuse my manners. How's the fashion blogs going? I saw one of my nieces with a dress you showed last month. It's uhhh...great how you're uhh...spreading the word of...fashion?" Max's dad stumbled over his words like a buffoon.

I scoffed at the man's audacity! I wasn't spreading the word about fashion! I was showing off the luxury!

I went back to burying my face in my phone not wanting to talk to these...what was the word?

Moronic fools?

That man knew nothing about my lifestyle. I mean come on Max's dad thought that wearing a forest green tie with a greige colored suit looked good!

"So... Bianca...Kim tells me you're really into...books. Are there any other hobbies you're into dear?" my mom yowled tossing her glare onto the girl who caused my blood to boil.

"Well, I'm really into cooking. Granted I can't really come up with complexed meals, but I can make some really good pasta from scratch" Bianca mumbled while pushing some hair behind her ear. My mom's eyebrow raised a bit. She was going to need Botox again if she kept that up.

"Well cooking is a good skill, but can it really be considered a hobby?" my mom purred.

"Well, some people do, and some people don't. While I do consider learning how to cook a need, I also consider it a hobby." Bianca shot back, her mood starting to go down.

"Now, Brittney let's not become too hasty. Everyone has an opinion." Jason stated while getting ready to stand up. I knew Jason had experience taking down someone who was getting out of hand. Being a manager to some of the most prominent music artists who would frustrate when something wasn't going their way.

"Ok, well here's my opinion, I don't know why this young lady was chosen to be in a content house when all she's knowns for is reading! READING! How can anyone become popular from reading?! She doesn't belong here!" my mom stated while stomping towards Bianca.
