Chapter 26 Jake's POV

I woke up to a quiet house. No noise, no sounds of cooking or smell of food, the sun high in the air, the sweltering heat making my head pound. I need some headache medicine and a shit ton of water. Maybe a shower. But first, something to eat.

I came into a room filled with tensions.
Max was glaring at Kim and Kim was scoffing and rolling her eyes while Bianca strayed from the group with Lisa comforting her. Bianca was wearing a pair of black leggings and hoodie that covered her eyes, but the sounds of her sniffling couldn't hide the fact that she was upset.
"Sh... it's ok Bianca, it's not true. You know Max would never do that to you." Lisa murmured while rubbing Bianca's back. Bianca sobbed harder.
Max gripped the piece of silverware in his hand until knuckle turned white before getting up and storming out of the room. I didn't know what to say before looking over to Lisa who shook her head and pointing discreetly at Kim who still had her head buried in her phone. Daniel came down not even a minute later. My heart raced as I remembered last night.

We were alone and goofing off until we got really close, our faces nearly touching.
"I don't know if it's the alcohol talking or the moment but for some reason, I just have the urge to-hmm!" I started to say before Daniel kissed me. Like really kissed me! It was sweet and passionate but not too flirty.
Daniel winked at me before grabbing a bowl when he saw Bianca.
"Good morning bookworm. Let see if we can make that frown turn upside down" he purred while grabbing his phone out of his sweatpants' pocket and quickly typing before a video started playing. I could hear screeches and a small giggle escape from Bianca.
"There we go, that's the smile I love seeing. Now, about finishing some breakfast? You're going to need that and water to stay healthy today" Daniel mumbled while giving Bianca a water bottle fresh from the fridge. Bianca nodded and took the bottle with caution. She took slow sips and ate some more of her oatmeal before leaving the room.
"Aw Daniel how sweet" I purred. My heart swooned at the thought that Daniel being like that with kids who were just having bad days. Oh god, my heart fluttered. Daniel smirked and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissing my cheek causing me to blush before he walked away. Lisa glanced at me with her mouth agape.

"Jake! You sly dog!" She squealed squeezing me into a hug.

"Ok so what happened this morning?" I asked as the hazy afternoon faded and the early evening waltzed through the windows.
"I'm not sure. I woke up and saw that Bianca was crying and she kept saying some about doubting her and Max's relationship and how she thought that Max was going to break up with her." Lisa explained while combing her thick hair and braiding it.
"Why would he do that?" I asked while handing her another hair tie. Lisa was trying to get her hair out of face and off her neck so she could cool down.
"I don't know. Something Kim said I guess" Lisa muttered gripping her hairbrush. I gritted my teeth of course Kim was involved in this.
My phone buzzed.
Influencers! We would like to apologize to everyone with the stress that's being caused. So, to make up to you all, each of you will have the surprise of having one friend or family member to come and see you!

Family or friends will come see us.
Who was coming to see me?
Certainly not Amanda. She told me to never crawl back to her again after I choose the content house over some ratty apartment in NYC.
So, who would come see me?
