The game was...
Sardines in a can?
"Alright influencers! Just to let you all know, today we'll be playing sardines in a can! But here's the twist, your special guests are already hiding! So here are the rules in case no one has played before. One person hides and the others will seek! Every player will hide in the same spot. Your special guest are hiding in a different spot you may hide in the same place with them or hide with the other influencers. Now everyone guess a number! Daniel you'll go first." Daniel announced while reading from his phone stuttering.
"Ok, I'm going with 6" he continued.
"Ok, I'll go 7" I said.
"I'm going with my lucky number 5" Bianca giggled.
"Ok, I'll go 4" Max smirked. I was glad that Max and Bianca made up. I knew they were perfect together.
"I'll go with 1" Kim mumbled. It seemed she wasn't over the drama from this morning as her eyes were still a bit puffy.
I wondered who my guest was. If I had to guess it had to be mom because i was pretty sure dad was still out to sea.
"Congratulations Bianca! You guess the lucky number! You have 20 seconds to hide. The other will try and find you!"
We all giggled and hushed each other while we counted.
"Ok Inca! Ready or not here we come!" Jake called out while we rushed down the stairs. Max suggested we spilt up and find her or our guest. We all agreed and scurried around the house.
I went outside and I choked out a sob.
There was my dad lounging in one of the deck chairs with a couple of water bottles in his hands.
"Hey there kiddo." He chuckled while opening his arms. I ran to him practically threw myself at him.
"Dad! I can't believe it! You're here! You're really here!" I sobbed out.
"Surprised? You're mom wanted to go but I figured this would be better." Dad mumbled rubbing the back of my head.
An alarm went off from inside.
"Congratulations guys! You all found your guest! Come back to the living room to celebrate!" An announcement called out.
I wiped a few straining tears from under my eyes as my dad and I trudged back inside. The living room seemed more crowded when I walked in. There were so many people it began to feel overwhelming. Max sat next to someone who could his double! The same green eyes, the same messy brown hair and same smile. Next to Bianca was a man who wore thick rimmed glasses and a goofy looking bow tie and business casual attire. Jake was sitting next to a frail woman who had an oxygen tank juxtaposed to her. The woman's hair, which once looked like an ocean of ravened curls was now peppered with gray and white hairs. Kim was sitting next to a woman who was equally flashy as her. They had the same blonde hair, blue eyes and award winning smiles. Then there was me with my dad who wore just a casual tshirt and jeans.
