Summary: Reader specializes in dark magic and has quite an infamous reputation, much like Kilton.
* It was hard to avoid hearing of the rumors of such an infamous mage.
* Many said you appeared only under the cover of the dark night.
* Some say that you visit places with a high mortality rate and mock the dead.
* Others say you use potions to hurt those who have wronged you.
* The way you hide in the shadows only added fuel to the fire. What are you doing? Are you plotting something? Do you plan on putting them in danger?
* They're too frightened to confront you directly, but also too paranoid to leave you to your own devices, so they send Link to check on you.
* When he arrives at your little abode, he's surprised when you welcome him in before he even knocks on the door. Immediately, he could tell you were nothing like the rumors had said you were. You weren't menacing, your words weren't filled with venom, and your eyes didn't make it feel like his soul was leaving his body.
* You were just... you.
* The moment you felt his presence, you could tell he meant no harm. Although cautious, he showed no signs of hostility, and his aura was one of tranquility. You could tell he was only there to quell the village folks' fears.
* You two had a nice chat as you readied a snack for him, and once the sun began to set, you offered to show him what exactly you do at night and how the rumors started.
* That night, you were able to show the beauty behind what others perceived to be devilish rituals.
* You defeated monsters and mixed them with certain herbs and critters to create potions, similar to elixirs, but with some added benefits. Faster regeneration, keener senses, all that sort.
* He watched you stir the ingredients together, eyes full of wonder as he watched the pot's liquids bubble and change color.
* After that, he followed you to a large graveyard, and watched as you placed a hand on one of the gravestones. You muttered a few words Link couldn't comprehend, and suddenly, a spirit rose from the grave.
* Unlike all the rumors he had heard where you would taunt such spirits, you were more than delighted to speak to the deceased man. When you said that you made sure his horse had found it's way to his son, it clicked for Link. You finished the duties these spirits couldn't before they died. You gave them closure.
* He watched as the spirit disappeared into a cloud of smoke, and when his eyes glanced towards yours, you had the most ethereal smile he had ever seen.
* Everyone was wrong about you.
* By sunrise, the two of you made your way back to your abode. You gave him some potions for the road, and wished him a fruitful adventure.
* Link was hesitant to leave your side, but he knew he had to clear things up with the villagers. If he stayed for too long, they might expect the worst and try to attack you.
* When he spreads the word that you mean no harm, some people are relieved, while others are more cautious.
* What if you put a spell on him so they'll lower their guard?
* Admittedly, he's irked, and a bit nervous, by their reactions.
* Irked because they were the ones who told him to go? And he went off and came back completely unharmed? And they're STILL paranoid?
* Nervous because he knows that people get desperate when they're scared, so what if they try to harm you?
* It's because of this he'll start visiting you more and more often. He fends off any people who might try to get some dirt on you to spread more nasty rumors, and he eliminates those who try to bring you harm.
* He slowly gets you to stay in your home more often. He can gather all the materials you need for potions, you can just sit in your safe home and mix them together.
* The only exception is when you're speaking to the dead, and even then, he's with you the entire time, and he'll take care of whatever last request they have.
* He makes sure to steer you far away from certain places. After all, if you manage to speak to the spirits of those he's eliminated, things could get real hard for him.
* You'll definitely notice the negative aura around him. If you try to comfort him, he'll tell you that everything is fine, despite what your powers tell you.
* He has to be careful with that aura-reading power of yours. The first time he eliminated someone in your name, he made the mistake of coming home immediately after cleaning everything up.
* His heart was beating, and his aura was like nothing you'd ever seen before. It was similar to when he was fighting a ferocious beast, yet it was somehow more... malicious.
* He told you that it was simply because the monsters were more aggressive than usual, yet it didn't do much to calm your nerves.
* He spent the rest of that night trying to convince you that everything was alright while simultaneously trying to make his aura less frightening.
* After that, he would make sure to take some time to cool off after eliminating someone so that his aura would be less intimidating.
* After all, the last thing he would want is to frighten you.
* You deserve a peaceful life away from the village folks' hateful gazes, and he would give you just that.
