For many long years the Entity slumbered away within the gaming system of the CSMPC but that in no way didn't mean it lacked awareness over the cute, child-friendly, virtual Hell it presided over and it's captured human spirits that had assimilated with the game world characters.

For many long years the souls had remained blissfully unaware of their true nature, going about their mundane daily "lives" as the Entity "allowed" whilst maintaining a constant watchful eye for any discrepancies.

...Until recently that is...

The atmosphere of the game world was different. There had been a shift in the "natural' order of things...

Another soul had entered the game...

Some nosy human, (whether through curiosity or ignorance—the Entity didn't know nor cared), had gotten their hands on the game along with the CSMPC system and begun playing.

The souls trapped within seemed to be aware of the situation as they started to bypass their avatars' programming in some feeble attempt on their part to perhaps communicate with the player—sending cryptic, brief split-second messages and unnaturally disturbing images of their pasts through "glitches" and gameplay.

The Entity wouldn't allow this behavior to go unpunished though. It did whatever it could to suppress the spirits and scare off whoever it was playing in the outside world.

Nonetheless, the player did not seem to be deterred by it's "warnings" and appeared even more determined in playing the game to it's completion. In fact, they even seemed to have a way to free the souls inside...How they had obtained such knowledge or means to do so, the answer eluded the demon but it knew if they succeeded, it would undo all of the demon's evil work and control over the spirits.

The Entity had to resort to even more dire tactics...

The player was not a sacrifice as part of the deal the demon made with the game's creator decades ago, but it couldn't allow such unruliness to go on unabated.

It tried to drag their soul forcibly into the game, but something was different this time from the rest...

The absorption was incomplete and the assimilation process partial.

The Entity was not pleased having been hampered somewhat with its' failed attempt, though not entirely as it came to realize.

The portion it had managed to acquire appeared to suffer from amnesia—a side-effect from the soul splitting transfer. The avatar it simultaneously created for itself (unknowingly) upon entering the game world had no recollections of much of their past or the events prior to assimilation—And the soul's physical body was incapacitated at the moment with half it's spirit missing which appeased the Entity.

It wasn't idiotic however. It would have to keep a close eye on this soul. And if it really came down to it...

PURGE it from existence.
