"Eva, I'll have you know that my tea tastes much better when you make it."
After he kissed her cheek, Eva's willpower went down the drain, and without her knowing, her fingers intertwined around the locks of his raven hair, and her eyes lingered on his lips in a way that made Levi's breath intensify, surely anticipating what was coming next.

"GOOD MORNING EVA!!!!"
The voice of Section Commander Hange resonated in the room just a second before she barged in, startling both Eva and Levi alike and making them close their eyes momentarily in frustration.
Hange's expression was one of pure confusion for a moment, bunking repeatedly and looking from one to the other, until she was able to regain herself. "Why is it that I always run into the two of you when you are in bed together?"
Eva's hands left Levi's hand and hair immediately, as the blonde cadet used them to cover her flustered face.
"I ask myself the same, shitty glasses" he sighed, standing up and shaking his head.
Hange went around the bed, to stand next to Levi before asking "how are you feeling today, Eva?"
"Well, embarrassed. Other than that, perfectly well" she stood up as well.
"Really?" Hange tilted her head. "What are you made of exactly? I don't think anybody else in the world can fight shorty here and be 'perfectly well' the next day."
Eva shrugged. "It wasn't a real fight, Hange-san. Or I would had been in trouble."
"So..." Hange fidgeted, "are you going to have breakfast?"
"Yeah..." Eva furrowed, "after I shower? Like everyday? Or is there something you want me to do before, Hange-san?"
"No, no, just go on with your everyday thingy."
Hange seemed nervous — the three of them stayed there awkwardly, both Levi and Eva waiting for the senior scout to leave.
"You are dismissed, Eva" Hange indicated in a very weird way, moving her hand towards the door.
Eva went to speak, but finally decided against it, standing up awkwardly instead and proceeding to follow her superior's orders, leaving the room.
"What was that shit, Hange?" A visibly annoyed Levi questioned once Eva couldn't hear them.
"It's her birthday" Hange announced, in a more serious tone and effectively surprising the man. "Did you get her anything?"
"I didn't even know."
"Apparently she forgot too." Hange nodded pensively.
"What?"
"Mikasa said that she tended to not realize it was her birthday, so that gives us some time," Hange spoke. "Her classmates want to bring a cake at dinner, but they asked me to check if she was going to be dismissed from the infirmary."
"I see."
"Well, if you are going to go get her something... could you also pick the cake?" A foolish smile appeared on Hange's face.
"So that you don't have to go yourself" Levi scoffed.
"Exactly!" Hange squealed. "Don't get me wrong, I love her, but since one of us is already going there is no need for the other to."
