(A/N: this is based off of Wherever You Will Go by Charlene Soraia (originally by The Calling) because I feel like this would be a good topic for a short fic)

So lately, been wondering
Who will be there to take my place
When I'm gone, you'll need love
To light the shadows on your face
If a great wave shall fall
It would fall upon us all
And between the sand and stone
Could you make it on your own?

"Gee, I really have to go. I'm getting married to Jamia tomorrow. Please don't do this. I love her, and what we had was in the past. Don't get me wrong, I still love you, but, just, I'm in love with Jamia too." Frank said holding back the tears that had gathered in his eyes watching Gerard cry. Watching Gerard cry was something he never wanted to witness, and for Frank to make him do it himself was just terrible. "Frank, please. Please stay with me. I c-can't watch you m-marry her knowing you're still i-in l-love with me. Stay." Gerard demanded, sobbing aimlessly now.

He knew Frank wouldn't stay for him anymore. He's begged him one to many times, he'd call himself selfish. He's only been thinking about himself and what he wants, not truly thinking about what Frank wants anymore. "Gee, you know I can't I-" Frank had gotten cut off by Gerard saying, "Don't call me that anymore. I can't do this Frank. I have to go." Gerard slobbed out towards Frank and headed out of the double doors that lead outside. Before Gerard went out the final doors, he turned to Frank and said, "I love you." and walked out.

If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go

Frank was frozen for a moment and realized that he couldn't live without Gerard in his life so he did what he did best, he ran after his best friend and lover. "Gerard, wait!" Frank called out to Gerard who was silently crying and ignoring Frank because he couldn't face him anymore. He knew he was pathetic for asking Frank to stay. He was also sure that Frank hated him too, especially for trying to ruin his and Jamia's relationship. Frank grabbed him by his arm and turned him around.

Frank asked for one more night. One more night is what Gerard will take if it means being with Frank. Gerard and Frank spent the night staying in bed and being in each others' arms. They never left the bed, and let's just say that Gerard and Frank never slept at all that night and I'm pretty sure no one else in the hotel did either.

And maybe I'll work out
A way to make it back some day
Towards you, to guide you
Through the darkest of your days
If a great wave shall fall
It would fall upon us all
Well I hope there's someone out there
Who can bring me back to you

It's been 3 years. It's been 3 damn years since Frank and Jamia have gotten married. Gerard hasn't coped with it, he doesn't think he ever will. He's looking through his and Frank's photo album they made throughout the years and he's sobbing, literally sobbing. He can't help it, he misses his best friend.

Frank can't help but listen to Mikey when he calls and says he hasn't heard from his own goddamn brother in at least 3 months. Frank freaks out and Jamia is standing right there in the doorway behind Frank watching him freak out because Mikey hasn't heard from Gerard in 3 months. She knows. She knows he only loves her as a friend, even if he doesn't realize it as soon. Frank was out in a flash, not even kissing her goodbye like he does.

Gerard couldn't help but notice his scars were fading on his right arm. 'I think it's time for the new ones' He thought and then he left for the bathroom and found his old razorblades he hadn't used for a week. There was still left over blood on them, he shouldn't have to clean them, he lived on his own. He didn't talk to anyone anymore so, why did it matter. He picked the blade up and sliced. He sliced again, and again, until his front arm was covered in his own blood.
