(Scarlet's P.O.V.)
The night sky was absolutely dazzling. It's so breath taking how the stars and the moon could light it up so perfectly. There were rarely stars out, but even when there was just one star in the sky, it was still amazing. I remember when I was 10 and Jake had just turned 11 and we took a trip to the Mountians for one night. Kohl and Ella had pack business to take care of, so Jake and I stayed outside for hours staring at the stars. By the mountains there were trillions of stars, more then you'll ever see here. It was truly amazing.
I was on the roof by my window, just to get some thinking to my self. It had been a few hours since everyone left from the meeting earlier. We all did a lot of explaining to Natalia and why she woke up with a bloody neck. She now knows the truth about Canis Lupus. At first she thought she was going a little mad, but Wesley shifted to prove his point. I hated that she found out that her best friend had been living with wolves. She seemed a little mad at me, at first but then she forgave me because she understood why we kept it from her. Wesley was the one doing most of the explaining, he even explained that they were mated, which was still a shock to me. They were cute together, I had to say that.
After they finished there meeting, Wesley and Natalia went back to his place, to do God knows what. Blake left with them to make sure they got home safe, which was really sweet.
I had been thinking about Blake a lot. When he said that we kissed in the club I wasn't sure how I felt. Did I have feelings for him like that? I couldn't picture Blake and I dating, it didn't seem right. I wasn't even fully my self when he kissed me. How am I supposed to know how I feel about it, when I can't remember a thing about it. I was just glad he hadn't asked about it.
"I knew I'd find you out here." I heard from behind me and nearly lost my footing, on the arched roof. I sat up and turned around quickly to find Jake leaning against the window frame.
"Jake, you scared the living shit outta me," I said gaining my footing back, and laying back down.
"Sorry," he said walking by, to sit next to me.
"What are you doing over here?" I asked.
"No one could find you in the house and I told Kohl I knew where you were. This is after all the place you go to think. What's on your mind?" Jake asked, with a little concern in his voice.
"I don't know Jake, the fact that my best friend is Canis Lupus is still a shocker to me."
"I know Scar, but at least she found her mate. Most wolves don't usually find there mates right away. She's really blessed to have found Wesley."
"Yea I know but if you think about it, it's his fault," I said in frustration.
"You don't want her to be Canis Lupus?" Jake asked
"It's not that, it's just... I don't know. Being Canis Lupus is stressful as it is and that's just coming from a human who's been raised by them."
"I know Scarlet but you can't change fate," he stated.
"Sadly." Was all I said as our conversation grew quiet.
It was a bit tense, I wasn't sure why.
"So your birthday is coming up. Any birthday request?" Jake asked with a grin on his face.
"A normal day." I said looking him in the eyes.
Jake looked at me with question.
"I just want a normal teenage day. Where there isn't shifting animals and fighting. I want to have one day that is just like any normal teen," I said looking back to the stars.
