(Jakes P.O.V.)She didn't even move, her chest was barley moving. It looked like she was having a hard time breathing. I kept my focus on nothing else but the lift of her chest. If her chest were to stop moving I would be ready.
It had been 20 minutes since I had laid her down in her bed. It felt like hours.
I continued to replay the events that had happened at the dinner, in my head. To see how she reacted to everything made me wonder more. What the hell happened down there? What caused all of this?
Deep into thought and focus I flinched a little when there was a hard knock on the door. When I ignored the knock, it came again but much harder.
I growled in frustration, making sure Scarlets chest still rose and fell. The knock came again, making the door hinges shake.
I growled louder, holding on tight to the arm rest, of the chair I was sitting in. I stood up from the chair, now pisted off as to who ever the hell would disturb at a time like this.
I opened the door hard, almost breaking it off it's hinges. I looked at the person who I knew I didn't have the patience for right now. Of course he was here.
Blake.
"Leave."
"Not until I see her."
"You have no right. Your not her family so you don't get to see her. Now get out," I growled letting him know I was angry.
"If you wanna be technical your not her family either, so I have a right," he shot back.
M wolf whined a little at what he said. Damn wolf always letting peoples words get to me.
I covered up the whine with a louder growl.
"I'm the closes thing she has to a family. Where as for you, your the closes thing to a rouge to her."
This caused him to growl now, causing my wolf to leap for joy as I knew I hit a nerve.
"Your only jealous because I know how to show her a good time. How to have fun. I let her fun and risky side come out, when we're together. As for you, your just a debby downer. A weight in her life. If your calling me a rouge because I like to take risk then what are you calling Scarlet?" He asked.
My wolf was already, ready to jump free on this guy and rip him to shreds. He wasn't making things better.
Blake took a step closer to the room but I blocked the doorway more.
"Let me see her," he growled.
"Get away," I said growling back louder.
Provoking an alphas son wasn't good. Especially if my wolf got out. I had to keep my chill.
Blake stepped closer, but I shoved him so that he wouldn't take another step. He lost his balance a little but kept both his feet on the ground. He growled at me coming closer again. I put my hand on his shoulder holding him distant, with my hand tight around it.
"Get your hand off me," he growled loud enough that I was sure the whole house could hear.
"I will once you leave. I'll drag you out this damn house my self," I said tightening my grip on his shoulder.
Blake swung his arm against mine causing it to swing away. We stepped closer to each other, our chest touching as we growled at each other.
"Jake," I heard someone say my name in a serious voice. It was almost close enough to be an alphas command. Oh wait..
