(Scarlet P.O.V)

It's been a week since I found out that my fur is black which isn't possible for female wolves, my eyes glow green and red also not possible and my mom was Canis Lupus and she fell for a mundane. It's a lot to adjust to but I've felt ok. I started to talk to Jake again which feels great, I hate when there's tension between us.

Ever since that night in Kohl's office, Ive been meeting with Jake and Blake. Like one day after school Ill be with Jake so he can teach me more about my new status, the next day Ill be with Blake as he tries to teach me the same. Im grateful to have both boys care for me so much.

Today was Wednesday and also Blake's turn to teach me something new. We mostly did our training in the forest, Blake and Jake both agreed it was safer away from human eyes. Kohl was ok with this as well, as long as we weren't to far away from the pack mansion.

I  was still staying at Blake's  place but both Kohl and Ella were still supportive. Things were good right now, almost normal but let's see how long that last.

"Scarlet focus!" Blake yelled throwing a rock at me which I quickly dodged.

"I am! Hey throwing objects was not in the contract."

"Well I make the rules. Now as I was saying close your eyes. Focus on everything around you. What do you hear and smell?"

"Why do I have to focus on hearing and smelling? I smell and hear just fine."

"Clearly your hearing isn't working caused I've asked you to focus for the past 15 minutes," Blake said with a serious face.

I stuck my tongue out at him before I closed my eyes, turning my focus to the forest.

"I smell the leaves, the wet dirt, even the lilies that are in a near by bush. I can hear..."

I paused.

Leaves being crunched as if they were being stepped on.

"Blake?" I said with concern.

"Some things coming."

Blake looked off into the woods and focused.

He was quiet for a while and I didn't know what to do.

"It's probably just a squirrel, or a rabbit. It's to far to get a scent. Your hearing must be better than mine, cause I can barely hear anything."

I shrugged.

"See told you I could hear just fine."

This time it was Blake who stuck his tongue out at me.

"Let's go check it out," I said walking more towards the forest.

"I don't know Scarlet, we don't know what that can be," Bake said worried.

"Pleaseeeee it'll give me a chance to practice hunting. It'll be fun Blake."

Blake looked off into the forest again. I knew he was worried and second guessing it.

"UGH FINEEEE. But if whatever that is, if it's bigger than a bear we are leaving."

Blake was quiet again before the sound of bones cracking filled the air. I looked at his wolfs form as his dark brown hair moved with the wind.

I turned my focus back on myself. I focused on the animal that slept beneath me, the power I held with her and how great we worked together. Before I knew it, my bones cracked into the form of the beast and I was falling to the ground.

All four paws hit the floor gently. I shook my fur as I loved the feeling of being free.

"Lets go"  Blake said as his voice filled my mind and he started running .
