1. What the hell

Third POV

Minji looked around the living room of her shared apartment, combing a hand through her black hair. She frowned, seeing as a certain teen wasn't there.

"Jagiya!" She called out, moving into the kitchen to get a quick snack.

Eunhyuk quickly walked over, "Yeah?"

"Where's Eunsu? She better not be out on the roof again it's dangerous." Minji said, taking out a coke bottle from the fridge.

Her boyfriend shrugged, stealing the bottle away from her, the ravenette giving him a look, "Hey, that's mine."

"Not anymore." Eunhyuk replied dully unscrewing the cap and taking a sip.

Minji shook her head at his antics. Eunhyuk may seem like an emotionless guy, but he can be quite childish around Minji.

She snatched the soda out of his hands taking a few gulps before setting it down, "You know...I caught your sister smoking again. Have any ideas on what to do with that?"

Eunhyuk sighed. Sometimes his sister really was a pain in the ass, "Honestly, I don't know. I've been trying to make money for her lessons but-"

"I already make a shit ton of money dumbass. Go back to college, get your medical degree and whatnot." Minji cut him off harshly but Eunhyuk knew it was her way of saying he shouldn't worry.

"You can't pay for the rent, Eunsu's ballet lessons and my college debts all at once Noona." Eunhyuk argued.

Minji flicked his forehead and he winced, "I'm already paying for some of the lessons and half of the rent. As for college debt, who said it had to be paid this instant? Life sucks but it's not always out to get us."

She pecked his lips, and gave him a lazy smile, "Now, go get ready for work. I have to confiscate something from your sister and I highly doubt things will be pretty."

Minji playfully shoved Eunhyuk away and he chuckled quietly. Suddenly, the landline phone began ringing. The ravenette picked it up and put it to her ear.

"Hello?"

"Is this the residence of Kim Minji?" A man said

Minji frowned in confusion in which Eunhyuk noticed.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

There was rustling on the other side then a new voice spoke, "Lieutenant Kim." The man spoke with a rough voice full of authority.

Almost instantly, Minji stood up straighter, her face without a single emotion, "Colonel Chung."

Eunhyuk got closer to the female, only for her to hold out her hand, signaling him to stop. It was against the rule for a civilian to overhear military plans that did not involve them.

"We need you back here. The government's been on my ass about this new discovery. They say it's highly dangerous." The Colonel said.

Minji frowned once again, "With all due respect sir, I'm not supposed to be back in duty for two weeks. Can't you send someone else?"

"Everyone is getting called in right now! This is an emergency. Now get your ass down here right fucking now." And with that the man hung up the phone, leaving Minji in her thoughts.

Eunhyuk cleared his throat, "What did they say?"

The ravenette glanced at him, "Looks like I have to go to work as well." Then she began walking to their shared room, taking out her uniform from the closet.
