Chapter 20: "Another Game Of Candor or Dauntless"

Tris POV

After I ate lunch, I found out that Christina has the rest of the day off too. We hang out at her place, talk, eat, and watch tv.

"Hey, guys. Wanna play C or D at Zeke's? Considering we started our first jobs." Uriah said who just popped out of nowhere and almost made me and Christina scream.

"How the heck did you get here?" Christina said.

"I did knock." He said sarcastically.

"Yeah, sure. We will be there. What time?" Chris said.

"6:30. See ya later guys!" He said as he walked out.

It's already fifteen minutes to six so me and Christina decided to get ready. I end up wearing a dark brown crop top and a loose t-shirt that falls off my shoulders, tight dark-grey leggings and a cardigan. I'm also wearing the black pumps that Christina bought me after initiation.

"Come on! We're ready to go!" Christina squealed like a twelve year old.

We walk to Zeke's place and knock.

"Hey Zeke." Chris said. He smiled and let us in. The gang is already there and sitting in a circle

"You're late." Lynn said bored.

"Excuse me, it's called FASHIONABLY late." Chris said z snapping.

"IT'S ABOUT TIME PANSYCAKES!" Uriah screamed.

"Get in a circle everyone." I sit down next to Tobias. He leans down and whispers,

"You look good, Tris." He says and I giggle. I remember the last time he said that to me he was drunk.

"Thanks, Toby." I say leaning my head on his shoulders.

"Okay, it's my house so I'll go first." Zeke said. "Marlene! Candor or Dauntless?"

"DAUNTLESS! I ain't no PANSYCAKE!" She screamed and earned a high-five from Uriah. Everyone else gasps.

"It's ok, Mar. You're gonna be okay. Just hang on." Zeke coos and Marlene looks confused.

"Someone, please! Get a doctor!" Will shouted.

"She only have a few chances to live. I don't think she'll survive this." Tobias said shaking his head.

"What are you guys talking about?" Marlene snapped.

"You have Pansycakeitis. Uriah must've gave it to you." Will said.

"Well, if it's deadly why didn't Uriah just die?" Zeke said and Uriah looks offended.

"Because Uriah is a survivor. He got through it with the help of Dauntless Cake." Shauna states.

"Oh shut up." Marlene said. "Let me just do the damn dare!"

"Okay. I dare you to go in the middle of the pit, clutch your stomach and scream AAAAHHHH!!! THE BABY!!! THE BABY IS COMING!!! And pretend to pass out. If someone touches you, get up and slap them." Zeke says.

"Uri, Tris, Christina, and Shauna are the witnesses. " Marlene said at the last second and we follow her out.

Marlene POV

Uri, Tris, Shauna and Chris follow me towards the pit. I look around and there's so many people. Sweet. To be honest, Truth or Dare is my favorite game cause I like to mess around people. I get in the middle of the pit and clutch my stomach.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! THE BABY!!!! THE BABY IS COMING!!!" I scream trying to be as convincing as I can. And then, I pretend to pass out.

After like fifteen seconds, someone touches my arm and I get up and slap them. I look up and see Peter. Ha. Good for him. And I skip away. I see Uriah, Christina, Shauna and Tris rolling on the floor laughing. We return to Zeke's and Uriah shows them the Video. As soon as the calm down I say,

"Uri, Candor or-"

"DAUNTLESS!!!" He says throwing a fist in the air.

"Fine. I dare you to go out and cling to the first person you see and say, DADDY!!! I FOUND YOU!!! I THOUGHT I LOST YOU!!!" I say.

"Consider it done. Tris, Zeke, and Four are the witnesses." He says.

"Why does it always have to be me?" Tris whines.

"I don't know. Maybe because you're good at it." Uri said.

"Ugghh.. I'm tired." Tris said still sitting down.

As soon as she said that Four throws her on his shoulders and runs off leaving Zeke behind.

Tris POV

Ughh.. I hate being a witness.

"Toby, please put me down" I say putting my best puppy dog face.

He sighs heavily and says, "How can I say no to that face?" He says and he puts me down. And now Uriah is on with his dare. He clings to some random person.

"DADDY!!! I FOUND YOU!!! I THOUGHT I LOST YOU FOREVER!!!" Uriah yells.

And then the guy turns around and I see his face. Uh-oh. Uriah is doomed.
