Chapter 35: "Uriah's Swags"

Tris POV

After years of shopping, me and the girls head to Christina's place to do our make-up and hair and whatever even we still have 4 hours to get ready.

*Time Lapse* (cause I'm too tired writing the makeup details.)

After hours of Christina poking our faces with make up and curled our hair, pure torture. We're all done and head towards Zeke's apartment.

Shanuna opened the door for us and we are greeted by a slightly drunk Uriah.

"Good Evening, Ladies. Come in." He said motioning us to come in.

"What happened to you?" Mar said and he just shrugs.

We enter and the smell of alcohol stings my nose. I see Toby in the corner talking to Zeke. He sees me and starts walking in my direction. He grabs me by my waist and pulls me closer. I kiss his cheek.

"Hey babe. You look Beautiful" he said.

"Thank you. You don't look bad yourself."I say. Zeke introduced me to the Dauntless borns Hunter, Vincent, Jaz, Nazca, Anne, Anthony, and Nikki. They seem so respectful towards me because I have a high reputation here in Dauntless considering I have the second lowest number of fears.

I notice that the transfers are there talking to some of the Dauntless borns. They keep glancing at me and then look away. Huh. I see Jess at the corner of my eye and I glared at her. She quickly looks away. Ha.

Uriah stands on a table and yells.

"Anyone who aren't Four, Six..." Whew. Luckily he didn't spill my name. "Shauna, Zeke, Marlene, Christina, Will and the initiates, you might as well GET YOUR FAT ASSES OUT!!!"

And then all the people scramble out leaving me, the gang and the initiates.

Then Zeke smiles evilly and says,

"Alright guys! Let's sit in a circle. We're going to play a little game of Candor or Dauntless."

"What's Candor or Dauntless?" One of the transfers, Robby asks.

"It's kinda like Truth or Dare. One person asks tou the question and if you choose Candor or Truth, you have to answer the question truthfully. If you choose Dauntless or Dare, ypu have to do the dare they give you." I explained.

"What if you don't want to do it?" Yenna asks.

"You have to take off an article of clothing. No socks or shoes and jewelries allowed."

"Okay. I'll start." Zeke yelled. "Four, my man! Candor or Dauntless?"

"Dauntless, obviously." Toby replied.

"Okay. I dare you to go into a clothes store and walk out of the dressing room in a short that's two sizes too small and ask, "excuse me, do you have this in a smaller size?" he said. And the initiates chuckled.

"Fine. Who's gonna come with me?" He said and Me, Zeke, Christina, Marlene, Uriah and some of the initiates get out.

Toby gets in a clothes store and grab a shirt that's too small for him. He puts on the shirt in the fitting room. When he gets out we all start cracking up. 😂He looks like he can't breathe. He approaches a staff of the clothes store and asks, "Excuse me, do you have this in a smaller size?" We all crack up again.

The redhead shakes her head no and looks at him like he's crazy. He walks back in the fitting room and put on his clothes.

We head back and he picks his victim.

"Uhh, Hunter. Candor or Dauntless?" Toby asks.

"Dauntless." He replies.

"I dare you to bring a pen and walk into a place where there is many people. Drop the pen and wait until someone helps you to reach it. If they do, yell "That's mine!!!" And then run away." He said

"Okay." Hunter said while standing up. We go and watch him do his dare.

He brings a pen with him and walks to the pit. He goes into a crowd of people and drop the pen. After a while, a guy reaches it for him.

"That's Mine!!!" He yelled and snatch the pen from the guy's hands the ran away. We all start laughing.

"Umm, Uriah. Candor or--"

"Dauntless!!! I ain't no PANSYCAKE!!!" Uriah yelled.

"What?!" One of the transfers asked.

"Pansycake. Dauntless slang. Used to be a huge insult but only twelve-and-a-half year olds use it." Zeke said.

"Okay. Uriah I dare you to go to Amity, knock on someone's door and ask if they can give you flowers." He said and Uriah get up with Hunter and Zeke following him.

*Time Lapse*

When Uriah came back he was holding a bunch of flowers ang gave it to Marlene.

"What happened?" Shauna said.

"Nothing. I went there with all ma swag, asked for the damn flowers, and came back here with all ma swag." Uriah said.

"Oh shut up." Marlene said "Nobody cares about yo swag."

Uriah puts a hand over his heart and act like he was hurt. We played Truth or Dare for a while and this girl Yenna's turn now.

"Six. Candor or Dauntless?"

"Candor. I don't feel like getting up." I say.

"Ha. Pansycake. Ha" Uriah said and Lynn smack him with a pillow again.

"What's your real name?" She said. No way I'm saying Beatrice.

"Tris." I say flatly.

We played for a while until it was 2:43.

"Guys. Maybe we could get some beauty sleep." Chris said.

We all get into our apartments which isn't far and the initiates go in the dormitories.

I change into one of Toby's shirt and snuggle up in the bed with him.

"Goodnight, Tris. I love you." He said.

I was about to respond but I'm far awake and soon, sleep pulls me in.
