"Did you hear, Ophelia, about Sirius Black?" Ron asked as I walked next to Harry to our DADA class

"Did you hear, Ophelia, about Sirius Black?" Ron asked as I walked next to Harry to our DADA class.

"Yes, I did, Ron," I replied dryly, tired of hearing the cursed name. Sirius Black.

After Sev dropped me off at the Great Hall with the rest of the students, I didn't get a chance to go to Harry or Ron, only heading straight to where the Slytherins were.

"Did you hear what the Fat Lady said? She said 'he's looking for her'... who do you reckon she was talking about? I would have thought he'd be looking for Harry, considering... but Harry's not a her—"

"Bloody hell, Ronald, do you ever shut up?!" I snapped at him. I couldn't take his incessant questioning anymore. He'd been at it all day. "Yes, I've heard all about it, no, I don't know who the Fat Lady was referring to, and no, I'm not interested in finding out! So can we just drop it!?"

Ron and Harry stared at me, wide-eyed. Neither said anything.

"What?" I ask irritated.

"Nothing... are you alright, O?" Ron asked, which only upset me more. All the stress, overthinking, and lack of sleep was really getting to me.

I ignored his comment and entered the classroom, deciding to sit with Draco and Theo on the Slytherin side.

"Morning, how are you doing today, Gorgeous?" Draco asked with his usual smirk, giving me a kiss on the cheek as a greeting.

"I'm perfectly fine, thank you, Draco," I said, trying to be nice and ease down on the anger.

"If you were perfectly fine, you wouldn't be sitting with us. You'd be with your Gryffindor boyfriend," Theo said from behind me, peeking his head between Draco and me.

"What does that mean? I hang out with you guys plenty of times. And he's not my boyfriend, Theo."

"I'm not saying you don't hang out with us. I'm just saying you usually do it when you're mad at your Gryffindor pets."

"Well, I'm not mad at them, I'm just mad at the world."

"Yeez, what did the world ever do to you?" Draco asked. I laughed bitterly at his question. Too many things to even count.

The door to the classroom slammed open, and in came Sev, dramatic as ever, gliding through the classroom with his robe flying behind him like a cape.

"Turn to page 394." I decided not to question it, taking out my book and looking for the page.

"Excuse me, sir. Where's Professor Lupin?" Harry asked Sev politely, but as always, Snape answered rudely.

"That's not really your concern, is it, Potter?" he said. "Suffice it to say your professor finds himself incapable of teaching at the present time."

I'm so bloody tired. I closed my book and laid my head on it, closing my eyes to try and get some rest. Hermione could give me the notes later.

"Turn to page 394." Suddenly, my book was jerked open, hitting my face as the pages turned to page 394. Snape had sent a spell at the book.

"You could've just asked me to wake up. Didn't have to do all that..." I mumbled under my breath, annoyed.

"Students will pay attention while I'm giving class. I will not tolerate laziness from anyone. And since you're so keen on talking today, read the title of the page out loud for me, Ophelia," he snarked back, cutting me off. I sighed and looked down at my book.

"Werewolves?" I read the topic, confused. "But Sev, we just learned about red caps and hinkypunks. We're not meant to start werewolves for weeks."

"Quiet and pay close attention," he said, not answering my doubts. "Now, which one of you can tell me the difference between an Animagus and a werewolf ?" Hermione raised her hand as always, and Snape ignored her. "No one? How disappointing."

"Please, sir. An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon, he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend. The werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind," Hermione answered.

Draco nudged me so that I'd look at him. He then proceeded to howl like a wolf. Such a child. I laughed at him and at Theo, who decided to join in, but his howl sounded like the poor wolf was being brutally murdered.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Nott, for the demonstration," Snape said, then turned to scold Hermione. "That's the first and last time you've spoken out of turn, Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself, or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?" Ron looked as if he wanted to speak up for Hermione but decided against it, knowing he would just cause more trouble if he did.

...It's a good thing I don't really care about causing trouble.

"Why shouldn't she take pride in being the smartest witch in the room? If she knows the answer, she should be allowed to say it," I spoke up for Hermione.

"Quiet, Ophelia, or you'll spend your day in detention. Five points from Gryffindor." The Gryffindors all whined. I decided to bite my tongue for now. I didn't want to lose points for Slytherin.

I didn't mind the bias Snape had for Slytherins, since in every other class the Slytherins were always treated badly, getting points taken away for no reason.

I looked to my side and saw Draco had made a paper bird, sending it flying towards Harry, who grabbed it without opening it.

"Oh my Merlin? Are you and Harry having a secret affair that I don't know about?" I whispered to him, mockingly.

"Shut up, Fifi. That's truly revolting."

"I don't know... I kind of ship it," Theo said from behind us, making me laugh and agree with him.

"As an antidote to your ignorance, and on my desk, by Monday morning... two rolls of parchment on the werewolf, with emphasis on recognizing it," Snape's voice sounded out, followed by the sounds of protesting teens.

"What was on the parchment?" I asked Draco, curious to know what was on the bird he sent Harry.

"Just a little something to throw Potter off his game in the Quidditch match."

"Draco!" I scolded. "...Save that for when they're playing against us," I grinned.

Was it wrong? Yes. Is it mean that I would do that to one of my best friends? Totally. But do I enjoy winning a lot more?

...yes.
