"Harry?"

"Ophelia?" Harry asked as soon as he woke up. "Hermione... where's—"

"I'm right here, Harrold," Ophelia said, sitting beside him.

"I saw my dad."

"What?" Hermione and Ophelia furrowed their brows.

"He sent the dementors away. I saw him across the lake. Ophelia, you saw him, right?"

"I'm sorry, Harry, but I was too busy looking at Sirius," Ophelia said softly, not wanting to feed Harry's fantasy. His father was, sadly, dead. There was no way he could've conjured the Patronus.

"Harry, they've captured Sirius. Any minute the dementors are going to perform the Kiss," Hermione said, bringing the real problem to light.

"They're going to kill him?" Harry asked, alarmed.

"No. It's worse. Much worse. They're going to suck out his soul."

"Thank you for explaining how my father is going to be killed in the most gruesome way possible, Mione. I really needed to hear that," Ophelia snapped sarcastically. Before Hermione could respond, Dumbledore entered the hospital wing.

"Headmaster, stop them. They've got the wrong man," Hermione pleaded.

"It's true. Sirius is innocent. It's Scabbers who did it," Ron spoke up from his bed.

"Scabbers?" Dumbledore asked.

"Ron's stupid rat—" Ophelia angrily explains. She always knew there was something wrong with that bloody rat.

"He's not really a rat! He was a rat... He was my brother Percy's rat. But then they gave him an owl—"

"The point is, we know the truth. Please believe us."

"I do, Miss Granger. But the word of four 13-year-old wizards will convince few others. A child's voice, however honest and true... is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen," Dumbledore said as the bell tower started to chime. "Mysterious thing, time. Powerful and when meddled with, dangerous."

He turned to look at Ophelia. "Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the Dark Tower." He looked back at Hermione. "You know the laws, Miss Granger. You must not be seen. And you would do well, I feel, to return before this last chime. If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight, more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns should do it, I think." He informed Hermione and started walking away. "Oh, and by the way. When in doubt, I find retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck." With that, he completely left, leaving the rest of the kids dumbfounded.

"What the bloody hell was that all about?" Ron asked.

"I'm telling you, that man spends way too much time down by the Hufflepuff common room, smok—"
