As everyone started to gather themselves to leave the Shrieking Shack, Ophelia walked towards Snape, checking on him to see if he was alright. He hadn't woken up yet and she was worried.

"Uh, Ophelia... would you mind, um, helping me with Ron?" Sirius asked while helping Ron up. For the first time, he was actually nervous.

His daughter. He could finally talk to his daughter...

He moved over towards her. "Don't fret about him. He'll wake up soon enough and make his way out. Come on pup." Sirius placed a comforting hand on her shoulder which she instinctively brushed off.

"I can't just leave him here... he's my—" she stopped, thinking it best to refrain from finishing that sentence in front of Sirius. "Well... you already know what he is to me, don't you... Snuffles?"

He smiled sadly as he nodded. This entire school year she had been worried about staying as far away as possible from Sirius Black and yet she had spent every single afternoon after class with him without even knowing. Every night she'd revealed something new about her life to him, things she considered too vulnerable to confess to an actual person. How ironic that the man she knows nothing of now knows the most intimate and hidden parts of her soul. He might be the only person who truly knows her except for, of course, Severus Snape.

"I think I'll- it's best for me to stay here and make sure Sev is okay... I'll walk out with Remus and the rat," she replied, stuttering—something very uncommon for Ophelia.

"Sev...You care about Sniv—Snape?" he asked, his tone coming out more confrontational than intended. He meant no judgment; he was just extremely bothered by the irony of his daughter caring for Snape.

"Sev raised me. You might be my biological father, but Sev was the one who took care of me all these years. I love him endlessly," she replied defensively.

Remus smiled humorously. "And he did one hell of a good job. I'll help you with him, Ophelia, right after I deal with this man," he said, pointing at Pettigrew.

"I'll help you if you want," Harry said rather timidly to Sirius, who smiled at his kindness.

"Thank you, Harry," Sirius replied. The two of them left, helping Ron together, all three of them looking back at Ophelia constantly.

Once they were gone, Ophelia let out a sigh as she brushed dust off Severus.

"Ophelia, I feel I owe you an apology," Remus said.

"For what? You did nothing wrong—quite the opposite, actually," Ophelia smiled softly at him.

Once he made sure Pettigrew wouldn't try to escape, he moved closer to his goddaughter, sitting down next to her.

"I lied to you... about the, uh, werewolf thing. I would understand if you don't feel the same way about me after you f—" he was cut off by Ophelia hugging him. He immediately hugged her back, smiling at the embrace.
