Essex, England

The party entered the small restaurant and were given a table tucked away in the corner. They ordered drinks and the waiter took everyone's orders.
"I'm just going to the bathroom." Lily stood up.
"I'll come with you." Remus got up and followed Lily into the disabled toilet. Remus locked the door whilst Lily closed the toilet seat lid and sat down. "What's occurrin'?"
"What?"
"You know what. James. You haven't told him."
"No."
"Why?"
"I thought about it and decided not to. Look, I barely knows him, what I do know, I barely like."
"But you said you were going to tell him that night, at the wedding."
"I nearly did. I took one look at his disgusting face and-"
"He's not disgusting, he's fit."
"He's vile."
"Stop being so childish." A knock on the door interrupted them. Remus sighed as he unlocked the door. Lyall stepped inside and Remus turned the lock once more.
"What's going on?"
"Nothing."
"I don't believe you." Lyall looked from Remus to Lily.
"Just tell him." Lily sighed.
"Lil is pregnant."
"Oh love," Lyall pulled Lily into a hug, "Who's the father?"
"...James."
"Fucking Hell, does he know?" Lily and Remus both shook their heads. "I know it might not feel like it now, but this could be the making of you."
"Cheers."
There was another knock on the door. "Guys! The food is arriving!" Remus opened the door. "What are you lot doing in here?" Lyall, Remus and Lily all looked at each other. "What's happened?"
"You better come in properly and shut the door." Euphemia did as she was told.
"What's going on?"
"Lily's pregnant." Euphemia looked at Lily.
"What?!"
"And James is the father." Euphemia's mouth hung open.
"Oh my Christ." Lily was about to say something when there was another knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Remus called.
"It's me, the food is getting cold." Fleamont said through the door.
"Monty, what's going on?" Sirius could now be heard.
"I don't know." Euphemia unlocked the door and pulled them both inside. "What is going on with you lot?"
"Lily is pregnant and James is the father." Lyall filled them in.
"Shit a brick." Fleamont muttered.
"We're going to be grandparents!" Euphemia squealed, hugging her husband.
"You've gotta tell him tonight, in fact you've gotta tell him now." Sirius said.
"I know." Lily sighed.
"How long have you known about this?" Sirius asked Remus.
"About three weeks."
"You've know for three weeks and didn't think to tell me?"
"I tried."
"Not that hard."
"You know when we were away and I said I had something to tell you?"
"Yeah."
"And I told you about Lily being in the original line up of All Saints but she had to leave because she didn't get on with Shazney?" Sirius nodded. "I was trying to tell you then."
"What, so you made all that up?"
"No, that was true." Sirius raised an eyebrow.
"Look, it doesn't matter who told who what. What matters is that the only person who hasn't been told, is the only person who should've been told." Fleamont said.
"Alright." Lily nodded.
The group followed Lily back to the table where James and Poppy were sat laughing.
"James?"
"Yeah?" James looked up at Lily.
"I've got something to tell you."
"What?"
"I'm pregnant." Lily looked down at the ground. "You're the father."
"What?" James ran a hand through his hair. "How long have you known about this?" James nodded at Sirius.
"I just found out."
"Bullshit!" James spat as he stood up.
"I did!"
"It's true, we all found out tonight." Fleamont said.
"Oh right, so everyone found out before me?" James pointed at Remus. "I bet he knew."
"I only found out at the wedding."
"That was over three weeks ago!"
"Come on, mate." Sirius said as he put his arm around Remus. "It's not our fault."
"This is all your fault."
"How?"
"You and him, ringing each other and texting and arranging to meet up. I didn't even want to go that day. If you didn't drag me there, none of this would've happened."
"It didn't happen that day." Lily said.
"What?"
"It happened at yours."
"When you went off in the garden." Lyall added.
"That! That doesn't count, that was rubbish!"
"I know."
"I can't deal with this." James grabbed his jacket and stormed out of the restaurant.
