"Yes, Lily told me."
"Do you think he'll still come to your dad's party?"
"He better had; Poppy's already low on numbers."
"I can't believe Prongs hasn't told me when it happened over a month ago. We played football last week, why hasn't he mentioned it?"
"Did you get my email?"
"What?"
"I sent you an email."
"Which one did you send it to?"
"Your Hotmail."
"I ain't checked that yet, hang on."
"It's lush it is babe. It's a new build, two bedrooms and it's in our price range."
"Really?"
"Yeah. It also has a bit of a garden."
"It sounds incredible."
"It is."
"It's in Barry."
"I know but-"
"No Rem, you've gotta stop doing this. We're not going to live in Barry."
"Why?"
"You know why and I'm not going to keep going over this every day."
"Mhm."
"Look, I've got to get back to work."
"Don't let me keep you."
"What're you doing today?"
"Nothing Sirius, I'll just be here."***

"We're going to get there for twelve so we can help Poppy set up and distract dad."
"Is Sirius going down with you now?" Fleamont asked as he filled up the kettle at the sink.
"Yeah." Remus leant on the kitchen counter. "Why?"
"I thought we were all going down together about three o'clock, that's all."
"James doesn't finish work until two." Euphemia added, not looking up from her magazine.
"It's the first I've heard about it." Remus stood up straight. "I just presumed he was going to come down with me. How am I supposed to get down there then?"
"Train?" Fleamont suggested, flicking the kettle on to boil.
"Great." Remus sighed as the front door closed. "SIRIUS!" He called.
"Don't start another fight." Euphemia tutted, finally closing her magazine and placing it down on the table. "There's enough rows going on as it is."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'm just saying, that's all."
"What's going on?" Sirius shrugged off his jacket and hung it on the back of a chair.
"It's alright son, just a bit of confusion." Fleamont said as he finished stirring his tea.
"Are you taking me in the morning or are you going down with them lot in the afternoon?"
"It's silly taking two cars, we may as well go down later."
"Fine. If that's what you want."
"Oh come on."
"Fine."
"Don't be like that."
"It's alright Sirius, it's just the way it is now."
"What is?"
"Us." Euphemia shook her head and sighed. "I'm gonna get the train times."
"Remus...***

Sirius and James stood outside the village hall smoking. "What do you think you're doing?" Poppy came running out.
"Alright Poppy?" James nodded.
"What if Lyall and Remus go past now and see you two stood here, eh?"
"What?"
"Get inside, now!" James and Sirius shared a look before stubbing out their cigarettes and following Poppy inside. Once inside Poppy closed the doors. "Right everyone, if you're expecting friends, tell them to wait until quarter past now." Poppy's phone beeped. She looked at the screen and gasped. "They're here, quick!" The lights went off and everyone stood in silence.
"Jesus, look at the size of that." James whispered, nodding at Lily who was cradling her stomach.
"She is six months pregnant." Sirius whispered back.
"SHHH!"
The doors opened and the lights came on. "SURPRISE!" Everyone shouted. Lyall scanned the room and smiled before hugging Remus.***

"Who's Severus and what's going on with him and Lily?" James asked as he took a seat next to Sirius.
"They're just friends they are. They've always liked each other and that though." Remus explained.
"Right."
"James, are you jealous?"
"No, course not." Remus grinned at James. "Right, I'm gonna do some shots." James turned to Sirius. "Want some?"
"Nah, I've gotta be up early and drive back."
"Alright." James headed over to the bar leaving Sirius and Remus alone once more.
"What're you on about?"
"Huh?"
"I thought we were staying the whole weekend?"
"I wanna get back really and so do Effie and Monty."
"Great, so I don't get any time with anyone?"
"You're seeing everyone tonight."
"Hardly, I've barely even spoken to Lily."
"That's not my fault." Sirius sipped his drink. "I'd like to spend a bit of time at home this weekend."
"You've been there all day; you didn't leave until four."
"I didn't realise that it was such a big deal."
"It is!"
"Stay here then."
"What?"
"Stay on here, don't come back with us."
"And you're happy with that, are you?"
"It's not like you've got anything to rush back for." Sirius shrugged. Remus sighed before walking off.***

Remus headed outside to where Sirius and James were stood smoking. "Sirius, I need to speak to you."
"Yeah?"
"On our own."
"Right." The pair both looked at James.
"So I've got to go do I?" James stubbed out his cigarette and headed back inside.
"You okay?"
"Not really no."
"Oh babe, I'm sorry about before. You don't really mind going back early, do you?"
"You did say you were going to come down with me this morning. You know you did. For some reason, you changed your mind."
"Come on, you're overreacting."
"Am I? I don't think I am." Remus shook his head. "Since we got married, my family and my home just isn't important anymore."
"Of course it is."
"I don't think you realise how much I miss being here. I do. I really miss it."
"Come here babe." Sirius went to hug Remus who stepped out of the way.
"No, I'm pissed off. I was really looking forward to coming down here for tonight. It's all that has kept me going. You don't care, you've got your home and your family. Nothing's changed for you, has it?"
"When we get our own place-"
"That's a joke. If we rent, that'll be something."
"I don't want to, it's-"
"Throwing money away, I know."
"I'm just looking ahead that's all."
"Sirius, you're so busy looking ahead that you can't even see what's happening today, now." Remus sighed.
"What's this all about?"
"I feel like I'm all on my own."
"What?"
"I'm really lonely." Remus looked down at the ground then back up at Sirius, tears threatening to escape his eyes. "I think it's better if I stay."
"Absolutely. Maybe that's what you need, a couple of days here."
"No, I think it's better if I stay here. I'm sorry Sirius, but I'm not coming back."
"That's what I'm saying! I think it'll do you good. I'll come and pick you up in a couple of days."
"Sirius, you're not listening to me!" Sirius raised an eyebrow. "I don't want to live there anymore. I'm moving back home."
