Chloe and Ewan had lounged around for a few hours, scavenging through the papers their realtor had told them to look at, while Ewan hesitantly let Chloe peek through his scripts for his upcoming jobs.

"What if someone stole this?" She said jokingly, holding up the thick script containing all the lines and directions for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, she plopped it back down on the bed and started reading through it curiously. "Would you get fired?"

"Let's not find out. Or leave that out in the open." He says, planting a kiss to her head. "That's like a dream role. Not trying to lose it before it starts."

She grins "Give me your best Obi-Wan. Right now. Go."

He groans "You know it's not like that. I can't just jump into his character."

She squints "Do it."

He rolls his eyes and picks up the script and reads through it and flips through the pages, trying to locate his first line. He sighs, studying it and tries getting into character. It's not working. Especially as Chloe sits in front of him, about to laugh her ass off.

He was also not dressed for the part at all. He'd changed into his suit for the night, since it was Cannes, and they were showing his movie ad all.

"This is ridiculous. Chloe come on."

"Read it Kenobi."

He raises an eyebrow "You sure you aren't the casting director?"

"Read the line."

He sighs, finally saying the words written on the page "I have a bad feeling about this."

"Was that the line? Or are you just saying that?" She asks

"The line Chloe."

"I'm not sure if I like the script for this movie."
He walks over and lightly bonks her on the head with the script before saying "You said that about Velvet Goldmine too."

"You're playing part of my dad and part of Iggy Pop. Excuse me for being a little weirded out."

He snickers "Did you not like my Maxis Erlich dancing on set last week?"

Chloe slammed her head down into a pillow "You made me remember that my dad used to be a complete weirdo. So no I did not."

"Do you think he's going to like the movie?"

She shrugs "He likes campy movies. And he adores you. So probably."

"Oh...He adores me?" He teases

"He and my mum nearly started screaming when I told them we were having a baby. So yeah. I think he likes you."

He furrows his eyebrows "You told them?"

"Last month. Over the phone."

Ewan groans "you did it on the phone?"

"We weren't in town." Chloe says shrugging "and I really wanted to tell them. This was when we were in LA, first got the photos of her."

He ponders the memory, grinning a little bit. That had been a sweet day. Finding out he was having a daughter, seeing her for the first time. Crying with Chloe. The two going shopping for baby clothes in the expensive LA baby boutiques directly after.

"Okay..I guess that makes sense. I told my mum too."

Chloe rolls her eyes "And you were trying to get mad at me."

"God we're awful people. Neither of us told our parents in person." He mutters.

"Does it matter? They're all happy."
