2007- Ewan McGregor's Long Way Round comes out, and he's back with his family. Unaware of the conversation between Chloe and Damon
2008- Chloe and Damon start sending letters to one another. She shoots a tour for him. They're friendly. No one suspects anything. And there's nothing going on either.
2010- Gorillaz releases Plastic Beach
2012- Chloe publishes another photography book, this one looking into more of the behind the scenes photos she's done, while accompanied by her few and limited shoots
2013-2016- Chloe and Damon remain in good contact, however, with most of her kids starting to grow up, Chloe feels more comfortable in relaying to Damon that she feels ready to move on from Ewan. Damon is cheerful about this.
2017- Ewan McGregor is introduced to Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Gorillaz releases Humanz.
2018- Ewan McGregor wins a Golden Globe for his acting in Fargo. Ewan also finds a stash of Chloe and Damon's letters. Leading to the two having a very long and painful fight, seeing as there have been multiple affairs on her end- some of which now being at least 20 years old.
Kids find out, only after Ewan starts to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead and are pissed at both of their parents, a very messy and unfortunately public divorce ensues, where their eldest makes a comment on social media- sending accusations of Ewan cheating into a frenzy.
No one corrects the drama.
2019- Ewan McGregor and Chloe Erlich finally divorce. Thanks to a prenup, Chloe keeps her entire net worth of 235 million, along with her LA and London home. While there is some bad blood between her and Ewan, the two have managed to co parent somewhat well, and Chloe is fine that he's seeing Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Are Chloe and Ewan friends? God no. Do they still communicate? Yes.
However, Chloe and Damon do start to see one another. But it's very private. Only known to family. That is until some very nosy Instagram accounts and celebrity blinds start to pop up.
