"Norine! Hindi pa tayo tapos mag-usap!"
Ngumuso ako at nagmamadaling nagligpit ng mga gamit kong nakakalat na naman sa stone table. Two hours na kami rito sa oval pero wala naman silang ibang ginawa kung hindi magtawanan.
"I really need to leave, Paeng. We're here for two hours already," I sighed. All of my groupmates are looking at me with so much judgement.
"Paano 'yan?! We're not even done yet with Forest Health!" Sharon said. I almost rolled my eyes but I tried my best not to!
"I need to go to KB pa, we've been here for two hours and you guys didn't even start talking about the damn paper! All you did was to flirt, laugh, and make tsismis! I'll be leaving, just.. Just email me my part, Paeng," I retorted when I was done keeping my things.
"But this is im-"
"I know. But you guys chose to just chitchat! I need to leave, there are a lot of people waiting for me," I puckered my lips. Sinukbit ko na ang strap ng bag ko sa 'king balikat at kinawayan sila.
Kung si Hilda iyong ka-group ko baka ten minutes pa lang tapos na kaming mag-usap.. But Hilda isn't my blockmate anymore. My grades aren't as high as hers so she got tiled up.
Nanatili ako sa same block siya naman ay umangat ng isa. I super regret not studying as much, paano ba naman 'tong mga bago kong blockmates are so.. Talkative! Wala namang laman ang mga sinasabi.
Gusto ko na nga lang taniman ang mga brains nila para naman may tumubong kapaki-pakinabang kahit papaano.
Third year's so stressful, yes. But being grouped with so many incompetent people is much more stressful! Unlike when I was a sophomore, super kayang-kaya ang workload because I have Hilda with me.
Nitong nag-third year na ako grabe na ang sakit ng ulo ko every day. Hectic pa ang schedule.. Especially when two days of my whole week is committed to Kapit-bisig.
"Norine! Mabuti at dumating ka na! Dumating na ang mga order mong lupa, hindi ko naman alam kung saan iyang ilalagay!" bungad sa 'kin ni Miss Lotlot. Ngumiti ako sa kaniya at sinabit ang bag ko sa bag hanger na malapit sa table ko.
"Really?! We can start the tree planting already! I told you plants are a great help talaga Miss Lotlot, they seem so much happier now," I grinned. Tinanguan niya lang ako't nginitian.
"Maine! Boyet! Nandito na si Norine!" sigaw niya. My brows knitted. Hindi ko alam bakit niya ina-announce na nandito na ako. It's normal naman for me to go here every Thursday and Saturday.
It's been my routine! For how many long months now!
"Oh my God!" agad akong napatalon nang marinig ko ang isang pagputok. Mabilis nabalot ng mga maliliit na mga ribbons ang sahig ng office! Lumabas si Maine at Boyet mula sa storage at may-hat pa!
May dalang cake si Maine at tinatakpan niya gamit ang isang kamay ang candle na nakasindi. My heart warmed and beat abnormally! Grabe! I swallowed and put my hand on my chest.
"Happy 365 days dito, Norine!" ani Maine. Pumalakpak si Boyet at hinipan ang torotot.
"Happy! Happy! Happy anniversary Norine!" Boyet sang. "Isang taon mo na akong sinusungitan! Dati si Maine lang ang masungit sa 'kin ngayon kasama ka na!" he laughed loudly.
I glared at him and walked towards them. "I'm not masungit to you kaya!"
"Sus!"
"Blow mo na 'yong candle, Norine! Matutunaw na!" si Miss Lotlot. I pouted and looked at the green cake. Natawa ako dahil mayroong mga decorations na plants.
