For the next few weeks, I've been playing with Gemma, that mysterious girl. "Do you want to fly kites?" I asked her one day. "Yeah, sure!" Gemma smiled. I really like it when she smiles.... It's really pretty! "Okay then. But I have to go in the afternoon for my graduation." I said. Then we both walked to my house to get some kites. "Carson!! Come here!! Get dressed for your graduation.... Quick!!!!" My mom grabbed me and suddenly noticed Gemma, standing at the doorway. "Oh... You've brought a girl home!!! Come in, come in." Mom put me down and I fell... "Carson! Are you okay??" Gemma walked to me and helped me up. "Thanks," I said. "He's always okay!" Mom added. I sighed. "Let's go get the kites." I walked upstairs to my bedroom. "Wait here," I went in and grabbed two kites. "Wow!" Gemma exclaimed when she saw the kites. "That's so pretty!!" "Thanks. I made them myself." I felt weird. Why all of a sudden I wanted to boast to Gemma? I weren't always like that...." YOU made them?! Oh my gosh!" She said, surprised. ".. Let's go." I blushed, then went down the stairs and out the door, with Gemma following me.
".. And here's how you fly a kite." I showed her, and she did every step perfectly. "This is fun!!!" She laughed. "Glad you think so." I said, happily. We flew our kites until it is my graduation time. "Do you want to come to my graduation?" I asked. "Sure, since you came to mine." She said, then winked at me. I smiled a little bit, then went back home to change into my graduation clothes.
"And here's the students that will graduate into high school." My principal said as me and the other students walked in. Everyone clapped, including Gemma, who was sitting at the visitors' seat. "We are very glad to have students here at this school to graduate.. Blah~ blah..." The principal blabbered on, and I watched Gemma while she was doing that. I can see that she is paying extra attention to my principal... She has so many emotions expressed... "Now, for the schools that students is going to graduate into......." She said many names until she said mine. "Carson Carters..... Vicksburg High school. " Gemma gasped when she heard that. "Why? Is there something wrong??" I thought to myself.
We went out for dinner. Mom was there, holding my hot dog. Gemma was too. "Uh... Carson...." Gemma stammered. "Yeah. What is it??" I answered her. "You.... And I... Are in the same high school. You are in Vicksburg. My friends and I are, too." She smiled. "Really?!" I asked, almost spitting my hot dog. "We're going to be friends, even after summer?? Awesome!" I hugged Gemma tight. Then I realized that I was losing my manners.. So I blushed, then stopped my hugging. "Yeah," Gemma just smiled as usual, like nothing happened. Best day ever! I get to go to the high school Gemma is going! How cool is that?! 😃
Hi everybody! I hope you like this chapter. Carson and Gemma is going to be best friends in high school... But, this story may just end when the summer ends. I will probably make a second one. Well, we will see~
