PREPARATIONS for the upcoming nuptials were well under way. The three siblings and their fathers relationship on the other hand, felt fractured.

They were all fiercely defiant and defensive of each other and that would never change. With each day the man gave more reasons for the siblings to argue with him and tension was growing amongst them.

Alas, the blonde saw the perfect escape opportunity by accompanying Faith to the seamstress. Lillian watched Faith as the seamstress continued to make amendments and measurements to her wedding dress, wishing she had this sort of experience when she was getting married.

Lillian didn't have any friends or family, not until her wedding day itself, it was Polly and Ada who at the time, she was growing close to but nowhere near as she was in the present. It was odd.
"I envy you, I admit. I never had all this, my parents hated me and refused to come to my wedding. Only Theo was there. That's all who I had, Arthur's family had to fill both sides so the church didn't look empty."

"Do you think that's why your mother was adamant on such a.. large wedding?" Faith questioned as she stood incredibly still as the seamstress pinned at the dress she wore.

"Definitely, still nothing will ever beat my wedding party, everyone was pissed off their heads it was fucking fantastic. I've never had so much fun in my life. Yours will be all prim and proper."

"We should've gone dancing, or for a quiet lunch somewhere just me and you, you are my only bridesmaid after all."

"We could've got drunk, what I'd give to get drunk," Lillian groaned, "what I'd give to wear a pretty slim dress again. I might never be slim again, that's terrifying."

"Oh quite complaining, you'll bounce back. Besides, you'll get a baby out of it, it's all worth something." Faith shrugged off the woman's complaints before she slipped out of the dress and back into her own.

"You are true, I never really pictured myself as a mum, I've wanted to be but I never thought it would happen. I'm petrified I'll be rubbish at it. I'm more scared of having to take care of a baby and my husband at the same time." Lillian thought about it for a short moment, before a hand was held out in front of her, Lillian taking it thankfully as Faith helped her up.

As Lillian ran her hand absentmindedly over her stomach, her eyes snapped to Faith and spontaneously, she told the woman they would spend an evening in one of the clubs Faith's father owned.

"We'll invite my mother, and Ada, both of which are very fun once they've had a drink or two. You need to let your hair down.. before it's all pinned up and immaculate for the rest of your life as a married woman," Lillian winked at the girl, who smile gratefully in response and with that the pair were off to persuade the other two women in question.

While Faith travelled back to the home, Lillian travelled to Ada's new home. Lillian was glad the family were taking care of their sister, Ada didn't take hand outs, she hated charity from others with a passion. She wanted others to view her as this strong independent woman who needed nothing and nobody and could do everything by herself.

In hindsight Ada Shelby was absolutely that person, no man could ever tell her what to do else she would do the opposite. She was perfectly capable of providing for herself. Just because she could didn't mean others weren't going to not help her, Lillian thought that Thomas felt guilty. He had drove his sister to London and chased her late husband down for nine months, he was partly the reason why she had to live in poverty for a while. This was his way of giving her what she deserved.

Lillian and Ada were most definitely two of the same, both as stubborn and fiercely independent as each other.
"Cute housemate, does he have a name?" Lillian commented as she sat opposite Ada, the man in question had let the woman in through the door.
