Heeyeon deflected the curse with her wand, saving the three of them from a slight burn or possible hair loss. With the air clear, they stepped out of the lift and entered a well-lit office. Instead of flying memos that crashed each other. The notes and folders that flew between employees were streamlined and organized, similar to that of cars on a highway.
"Ning Ning!" a man with quaffed hair and broad shoulders approached them.
"Yeolobun. This is Kennie. I mean Auror Lee Jaehwan. We call him Ken."
Byulyi and Jungkook bowed then looked towards the noisy conference room. Expletives and mild spells escaped like sparks from the gaps of the door. The room had an opaque glass divider, but from the outside, Byulyi could see the form of Aurors sitting stiffly while a man stood with hunched shoulders.
Ken directed them to his desk, where he had laid out coffee in takeaway cups and a small platter of sweet rice cakes. The four of them sat down and listened to Heeyeon.
"So. Welcome to the team, Moon Byulyi-ssi. We're glad you're here," Heeyeon paused at the sound of a clipboard slammed on a table. "We have to wait for a while since Lead Auror Park is having a meeting. I'll introduce you two to him, and he'll give you your first case for the day. Oki?"
"You can keep your luggage here, Byulyi-ssi. I'm on a 24-hour shift," said Ken.
"Is this- er? A typical day?" Byulyi said, a little wary.
Jungkook gulped and darted his eyes to the door every few seconds.
"Don't worry about the boss. He may seem- um. What's the word?" Heeyeon turned her chair towards Ken.
"Volcanic?" Ken supplied with a grin.
"There you go. Volcanic. But don't let that fool you. He is an absolute sweetheart on the inside."
"THAT BASTARD! GET HIM OUT OF THE CASE, OR I WILL!"
The door was aggressively opened, and Jungkook squeaked while Byulyi jolted on her seat. Outside strode a tall man with a light buzz cut and handsome features. Lead Auror Park Seojoon was dressed casually in a black jacket, and on the side of his jeans was a leather holster holding his wand. He had an air that signaled that he was ready to jump into action at any given moment.

From the inside of the conference room, Auror Cha Sunwoo (Baro) moved his head from side to side and mouthed, not good. Heeyeon got the message and held up an okay sign. She promptly stood up, took a coffee cup, and walked towards the file tables where Lead Auror Park sat.
