(Soundtrack: Outro- Kris Kross)

"Kris Kross? You see these kids?

They wear their clothes backwards.

12 years old with earrings?

Who taught these kids how to dress?

Do their parents dress this way?

My kids better not dress like this."

Yoongi pushed against the sidewalk with his sneakers and sped away on his skateboard.

He was dressed in his high school uniform, a straight-cut navy blue blazer and slacks. Always wanting to put a stamp on his own style, his ears were decorated with his favorite silver earrings. While his body still ached for more sleep, his house was not the most conducive for catnaps at that moment.

After dodging a man in office attire, Yoongi hopped off his skateboard and chucked the thing in his backpack. With the sound of door chimes, he entered a café and was instantly greeted by a small cappuccino-colored dog.

"Annyeong, Mocha! Annyeong!" Yoongi cooed. He had a soft spot for dogs and wished he had one. "Who's a good girl? Aigo."

"Morning," a female voice said, wearing the same school uniform.

"Mwo-hano, Jieun-ah," Yoongi gave one last belly rub then the dog trotted away.

Jieun was a friend from school, who worked as a barista after school for Hyori's Coffee and Tea Leaf. They frequented the place and were also close to the owners, Hyori and Sangsoon. The ambiance was charming, and both teenagers got free coffee and cakes, along with a chance to perform during the cafe's open mic.

"Did you talk to your parents yet?" Jieun gave a knowing look while patting Mocha's little head.

"Um," Yoongi's mouth formed a line and he looked to the side.

Being inside the Min residence was like being transported into the nineteen seventies. It was a modest one-story bungalow that had his mother's crochet table runners and his father's woodwork sculptures (he was fond of ducks).
