(Soundtrack: Wake me up before you go-go- Wham!)
Byulyi noticed that Jin had an odd habit.
For the past few days, she noted that he would go in and out of his bedroom wearing a different outfit each time. Some of them included the uniforms of a waiter, a school teacher, and a hotelier. He would be gone for several hours and sometimes for a day.
On the morning of their first day off, Byulyi and Jungkook waited for Jin. The former felt annoyed that the one who invited them to go shopping, was who knows where. They were already dressed and ready to go.
While Jungkook put on his ear piercings, he finally explained what his housemate did for a living.
"Jin-hyung saying he's a traveler is just him trying to sound cool," Jungkook turned to face Byulyi who sat on a garden chair. "He's more of a part-timer. He time travels to these periods in the past and works as a chef for a noble Joseon house or a shoemaker when the Westerners arrived in Korea. He was even a matchmaker in the Goryeo dynasty."
Byulyi had heard of time travelers. Back in London, the government issued time turners, small necklace-like gadgets, for special grounds, like for gifted students or researchers studying the meaning of time and space. Time travelers were heavily monitored, and this was the first time she heard someone use it to work odd jobs.
