(Soundtrack: Born to be Wild- Steppenwolf)
Dear Yongsun,
I hope you're doing okay. I just got myself settled in and will be staying in a house with my mentee, Jungkook, and his housemate, Jin. I received a warm welcome from them with the promise of a delicious seafood dinner.
The fishing rod didn't take long to give an ominous tug. As if Poseidon had blessed Kim Seokjin, he heaved upward, and at its end, an enormous tuna fish erupted.
In their small dingy, Jungkook looked at the fishing net in his hands and gauged that they needed a bigger one. "Oh shi-!"
"When you said super tuna-," Byulyi stared nervously at the colossal fish. "You really meant-"
"SUPER TUNA!" Jin bellowed as the fish flapped up and caused a great splash.
Jin jumped down and quickly untangled a bigger net. "Ja! Since those bastards ruined my groceries, beef is out of the menu. But at least we now get to fill our bellies with fresh sliced tuna, and some spicy fish stew! Kook-ah you're on standby. Hold this until I give a signal."
"Got it, hyung!"
Byulyi looked at the flimsy fishing rod and looked up. "Jin. Are you sure about this? I don't think your fishing rod can hold such a big fish."
"Ye of little faith. Come to think of it. This is the biggest fish I have ever caught. Oh, well." Jin shrugged.
The weather is nice in Seoul. It feels like the sun shines brighter here.
Rain pelted on their backs as the trio tried maneuvering the magicked sea inside 613, Samcheong-do. With minimal vision and the rocking motion of the boat, it was a miracle they were still afloat.
I plan to help out around the house and I hope the three of us get along well.
"Byulyi-ssi! You're going to make us crash into the living room!" Jin yelled as he struggled to keep balanced.
"It's not my fault you give such horrible directions!" Byulyi retorted, hands firm on the oars and turning them away from the house.
Jungkook shouted through the sound of thunder. "Stop fighting you two! We don't have anything in the fridge. We need that tuna!"
"Turn left, Byulyi!" Jin shouted as he took steps backward, reeling in the giant fish. "I said left! No! My left! Aish!"
Jin felt the muscles in his arms burn and feared his arms would fall off like twigs. The super tuna proved to be a monster and put up a fight against them.
"Damn it! Why won't you give in?!" Jin pulled and felt his left foot slide.
"Hyung!"
"Jin!"
With quick reflexes, Jungkook lunged and grabbed hold of Jin's waist. At the same time, Byulyi let go of the oars and held unto Jungkook. The two were able to pull back Jin's body before he fell into the raging waters.
Jin breathed deeply. "My hat!"
"Not important, hyung!" Jungkook scolded.
Jin regained his footing and adjusted his hands firmly on the handle of the rod. "Yeolobun, on the count of three, give a big pull! Hana! Dul! Se- Aaaah!" The boat swung upward, riding a large wave. "Who's driving the boat?!"
The three housemates held onto each other as the boat capsized. Jin, no longer able to hold on any longer let go of the fishing rod and the giant tuna swam away.
"Woo! That was an adventure!" Jin exclaimed, a bright grin on his face. "At least we still have some cutlass fish."
The three of them watched as the waters in the garden slowly vanish, taking with it all of the fishes. All that was left were puddles and Byulyi's clothes strewn all over the garden.
Byulyi's cheeks reddened when in front of them lay her wet undergarments. She quickly went down and gathered them in her arms. "Look away!"
"Yes, ma'am!" Jungkook turned around when he heard Jin snicker something about teddy bears.
Yeah, I hope the three of us get along well.
