Everything was going smooth in our relationship. No subject of dying came up again. It was our little world and no one could mess it up.

Or so I thought.

I was at the Speedwagon headquarters when I arrived to Jotaro's office. I knocked on the door and called, "Hun, it's me. Got some papers to be signed."

I waited.

No one said anything.

Then I recognized some sounds of breathing. It was heavy and laboring.

"Jotaro?"

No answer.

I went ahead and let myself inside, closing the door behind me.

Before me was Jotaro hunched over at his desk. His hands were over his face as his shoulders were trembling. His breathing was so bad that it sounded like he was running a marathon.

I ran over to him and sat down the papers. I placed my hands between his shoulder blades. "Jotaro, are you okay?"

No, he wasn't okay. He was having a panic attack of some type.

He opened his mouth to say something, but his teeth were chattering. He managed to say, "J-jolyne..."

This wasn't simply a depressed and missing her type of reaction. Something was wrong.

He struggled, "...in danger. I failed."

Something must've happened to Jolyne. Now he was blaming himself.

I tried to keep my composure as I had no idea what happened to her. I said, "It's okay. We can get through this. We just have to work together to figure it all out. She's a strong young woman, right?"

"Hm," he mumbled.

"And you are a strong man as well, aren't you?"

No response on that one.

I whispered, "You are. You are strong." I bent over to embrace him from behind. "We are going to protect her with everything we can."

He swallowed as he hesitantly nodded.

"Alright," I soothed. "Let's catch our breath." I took a deep breath in and out.

He did the same.

We took a few breaths in and out until he was breathing normally. It took about ten minutes until he said, "Okay... Okay... Thank you."

He pulled his hands from his tear-stained face. His cheeks were red and he seemed exhausted.

I reached for his hand and held it. I asked, "What happened to Jolyne?"

He answered, "She was set up." He stopped to take a breath. "She was falsely accused and is now in Stone Ocean state prison." He wiped his face. "Same prison as Johngalli A."

"Who's that?"

He swallowed before saying, "A stand user who is after me."

I gasped, "There's a stand user after you?"

"Yes," he said with his voice finally gaining stability. He averted his eyes from mine. "He's trying to get me through her."

"So," I said. "Are we going to save her?"

"I already took the first step," he explained. "I gave her a piece of the arrow."

I quickly stood up alarmed. "You what? You're trying to make her a stand user? W-wait. You went to see her?"

"This was the only way to help before she refused my help," he said. "She would be able to defend herself and-."

"But she refused your help," I said, thinking. "Does that mean she didn't willingly accept the arrow either?"
