What felt like many months went by as we monitored Jotaro. Then so many bizarre things happened in one day.

Prison escape, Disney characters going berserk, snails... We knew just where to find Jolyne and her friends because of the chaos. We weren't able to contact her in any way, but she somehow got to us.

Eventually, we got the memory disk.

I was the one to give it to Jotaro.

When he came to, he was staring at me. Then his eyes widened as he understood where he was and wondering what happened. "J-Jolyne."

The doctors were busy unhooking him from the machines he was attached to.

"She's out the prison," I said. "But so much has happened since you were out."

He nodded calmly and whispered in his raspy, unused voice, "What happened?"

I told him how Jolyne stayed in jail to retrieve the disks. Who was involved: the enemy and the allies. The timeline of events that we were aware of. The date: March 21.

"It's been about 4 months," he shuddered.

"Yeah," I said.

"Where is she?"

I said, "We are on our way to her now. If you haven't noticed, he are on a truck on the way to our current destination: Kennedy Space Center."

A Speedwagon worker stuck his head in the room and informed me, "We are close to arriving at the destination."

"Thank you!" I released my stand almost immediately. I began search for ally's eyes.

I found a Jolyne's eyes. She was sneaking around with her friends to get to Pucci. "I found them. They are near the entrance," I said as I withdrew my stand. I turned to get ready to leave.

"No," he said standing up. "I have to do this. If what you told me the situation it was, you will be out in danger."

"You just woke up," I said. "I have to do something!"

He shook his head as he grabbed my arm. He pleaded, "Please don't. You are in no obligation to protect her."

"But I want to."

He froze. His mind was processing a lot of emotions. Then he said, "Then be my lookout. Just like you always were. I trust you, and I don't want you to be in any danger."

I hesitated for a bit. I didn't want him to go out on his own again, but so far, we know the enemy, and he had other people with extraordinary abilities on his side. I finally sighed a, "Okay."

Despite giving my answer, the feeling of helplessness didn't go away. I placed my trembling hand on his cheek just to feel his warmth.

"But before I go," he started. "After this, we are leaving this country. We can pretend we never existed, so Jolyne can go back to her own life."

I nodded.

"Promise me we will not tell her about us," he whispered. "Promise me that we will start a new life together. Promise me that." His eyes was were searching for something deep inside me that was filled with desperation and trust.

"I promise."

He held me in his arms as if I was fragile. "But if I don't make it..."

"Don't say that!" I couldn't help but shudder at the thought of losing him. I just got him back.

"No." His lips trembled. "But I will die for her. You know I will." He took a breath. "If I do die, please take care of her."

"Of course," I tried to prevent myself at sobbing at the thought.

"I have to go," he said. He took a deep breath in and out.

I trembled, "Okay."

He gave me a kiss on the cheek and whispered, "If something does happen to me... I'll always be yours." He left my grip and left the room.

I was left with the fear and helplessness as I saw him leave. I wanted him to stay, but I knew he wouldn't.

The world and his daughter's life was at stake.

I released my stand to stay connected to his eyes, and I watched everything unfold.

Jotaro arrived in the nick of time to save Jolyne a when Pucci attacked her. He held her in his arms, saving her from her predicament.

I went to another truck with equipment to monitor and give directions to assist. I stayed on backup just in case something went wrong.

And unfortunately, it did.

Time sped up, the group came up with a plan and went into the water nearby. Anasui, Ermes, Emporio, Jolyne and Jotaro stayed together.

Then in a blink of an eye.

Everything went wrong.

I couldn't see anything. I couldn't see through Jotaro's eyes!

I switched from him to the closest pair of eyes.

Emporio.

He was terrified and alone. Everyone was incapacitated.

Since we had backup ready, they were quick to the scene just as Emporio and Jolyne made contact. She was barely conscious.

I ordered them, "Kill Pucci on sight." Emporio had a gun. I needed them to assist him, since he was only one up. With him distracted, we could help Emporio and Jolyne. I was left with two other workers in the room.

I shuddered at the scene he was seeing. I could feel the tears from my own eyes which would've blurred my eyesight, if I wasn't connected to him.

I saw Jotaro.

His hat sliced all the way through.

So much blood.

He was most likely dead. How could someone survive being sliced up like that?

Suddenly everything begun to spin. I stumbled a bit as my eyes withdrew from Emporio.

"Not Jotaro," I sobbed into my hands. "Not my Jotaro!" I couldn't focus as I was filled with distress.

One of the workers placed their hand on my shoulder for support.

What was I supposed to do without him? How could I live without him? He was basically everything to me!

I cried, "Do everything you can to save him! Please!"

"We will," said the worker.
