I walked into the Speedwagon Foundation's medical area. It has been a week since the incident with Pucci. Everyone was in stable condition.

I've met Jolyne, but we didn't meet on good terms. She pulled the truth out of me about Jotaro and I.

I walked into the room, Jotaro was being held at. I stopped at the sight. Half of his face was bandaged up heavily. Blood stained the bandages a bit. I could never get used to the sight.

He hasn't woken up once since he arrived.

I walked to the side of his bed. I was about to sit on it, but I was afraid. It felt like a little too much movement could just kill him.

Grabbing a chair nearby, I sat beside his bed. The chair was most likely left by Jolyne.

After a few minutes watching his sleeping face, I said, "So guess what I brought this time, hun." I took a book from under my arm. "Mediterranean Sea creatures." I waited for a response.

There was none.

As expected.

I began reading to him quietly.

It was something I began doing since he got there. Maybe something in him would wake him up sooner than later.

I hoped.

Hopefully when he wake up, we can run off to another country like we planned. We could be together living life to the fullest. He can have a great new start.

Jolyne could go off and stay away and safe.

Without knowing, tears fell from my eyes. I was longing for him to wake up, and we could run away to a far away place of no responsibility. No one needed to know where we would go. Maybe we could live a safe and stable life he deserved.

But of course, plans and promises were broken when he finally did wake up.

No running away.

No hiding to a special place for ourselves.

No memories.

But we got a few positive things.

Stability, love and healing.

At the beach, in front of our house, I was sitting down. I had one thing to be grateful for.

He didn't have the burden of past memories anymore.

There was no point in telling him or even reminding him. He could just live in the moment. He could meet me again. Our normal date was his first. He relearned about himself. He actually felt like living an actual life.

Plopping down beside me, Jotaro asked, "What are you thinking about?"

"The past," I answered.

He hmhped, "Well, that's not fair." He studied me with his ocean eyes. "Something tells me I rather not know." He was right. He wouldn't want to know. He turned his gaze to the water before us. He sighed a satisfied breath. "So how about this seafood place? I saw this restaurant that we went by downtown. I was interested in trying it."

"Ah, that place," I said. "I like that place. We should definitely go there again."

He slowly turned his gaze to me. "Again?"

"Yeah," I confirmed. "You will love this place." He liked that restaurant in the past.

"Good to know," he said, not going any farther. "I look forward to it."

"Let's go inside," I suggested. "We should get rested up. We have quite the day ahead of us."

He stood up and held his hand out to me. A peaceful smile reached out to me. "Alright let's go."

I grabbed his hand

And we will continue to look forward.
