"The wedding will be amazing, nothing will go wrong" he smiles at me
"Thank you"

"For what?"
"Calming me down, I would have like exploded" I laugh slightly

"Of course mi amor, I'm always here for you" He holds my cheek and I smile. He packs his case, leaving out pyjamas and clothes. He grabs our cases and walks down.

"Ay! Such a gentleman" Alma exclaims and I smile. I help him put the cases in the wagon

"Y/n!" Diego yells and runs towards us. Oh god, my fingers sizzle

"Hey, it's okay" Camilo says softly, intertwining my fingers with his. Is he not afraid I'll hurt him? A fuzzy feeling blooms in my stomach.

"Where are you going?" Diego asks, hands in his pockets

"We're going to my home town" Camilo says cooly and Diego's expression drops

"Why?"
"So I can meet his family" I reply
"And for our wedding," Camilo adds, squeezing my hand.

"Am I invited?" Diego asks and I stare at him
"No"

"What? Why?"
"Why would I invite you when you tried to cut me out of your life?" I ask and Camilo glares at Diego
"I never-" He says nervously

"You did, I heard you," Camilo says holding onto my hand tightly. Diego's face turns angry and he steps towards me

"Are you doing this to get back at me?" He asks in my face and Camilo gently pulls me behind him

"You should go" Camilo says calmly

"What's in this for you?" Diego asks

"You need to go" Camilo says and I hold onto his hand, my heart races. Electricity races up and down my body, my hands shake with energy. Why is he being like this? I'm actually happy and he's trying to ruin it.

"Diego leave" I say coldy and he stares at me
"Is that really what you want?" he asks, I take a breath
"Yes, it is" He presses his lips in a line and walks away. I turn and rush into my room, I lean against the door and electricity burts out of me. My knees give out and I slide to the ground. My head spins and I take a deep breath. I never hold it in. I get up and sit on my bed, I kick off my sandals and lay down, hands covering my face. I can't act like this in the Encanto, I need to control it, I can't just explode when I get overwhelmed. Someone sits on the bed by my legs and puts a hand on my knee. He doesn't say anything, he just holds my knee. I sit up and hug him. He pulls away and holds my face.

"Don't let him get to you" Camilo whispers and I shake my head.

"I can't act like that, I can't just explode when I get overwhelmed. Especially not in your home"

"Don't worry about that, my family are just other people. Everyone will understand. Especially my primas" He tilts his head at me, comfort spreads throughout my body and I smile slightly. The rest of the day goes by fast and before I know it, it's night time. I change and climb into bed while Camilo changes. He crawls over me and I look at him unimpressed. I lay down and cut the power, he grabs my waist and cuddles into my shoulder. I smile and mindlessly play with his curls, I eventually drift off. I grab my clothes and Camilo goes to change in the bathroom. I fix my hair and necklace. I pull on my shirt, Camilo stands there, ears red.

"I- um, I thought-" He stutters, rubbing his neck, and I laugh nervously, adjusting the shirt.

"It's fine" He avoids my eyes. I walk out and Mami pushes me into the kitchen where the rest of my family is waiting.

"Are you ready to go?" Papi asks

"Right now?" I ask

"Well in an hour or so"

"Um, sure"

"Go say your goodbyes" Mami says, Mateo and I leave. I follow him around and he says his goodbyes to his friends, they all hug me and congratulate me on the engagement. I don't have a lot of friends, Diego was my closest one and well he's not anymore. I cross my arms, I'm starting to get nervous. We walk back and Mateo helps me in the wagon, it's not the most luxurious ride but I don't mind. My leg bounces up and down nervously as Alma chatters about everyone coming to the wedding. Their whole town. Camilo puts his hand on my knee and squeezes.

"Everything will be okay" I nod and Mateo glares at Camilo. After a three hour ride we pull into a town. The Madrigals climb off and Camilo helps me. I pick up my case and people swarm around their family. My family stands off to the side and I look at Mami nervously

"Oh everyone!" Alma says and the chatter dies down "Camilo" she prompts

"This is my fiance, Y/n Morales" He says and he gently pulls me towards me, I put my case down and Camilo holds my hand. I push the anxiety away.

"Congratulations!"
"Oh!" People exclaim happily, hugging me or shaking my hand. After literally everyone introduces themselves, kids run at me. My heart races, oh god, oh god.
"What's your gift?"
"Do you have a gift?"
"Do you love Camilo?" Camilo squeezes my hand, his hand is sweaty.
"I can control electricity" the kids 'woah'
"Show us!" A kid yells and I let go of Camilo's hand, I make little balls of electricity and make them dance around the townsfolk. Eventually they wander away and I sigh, Camilo puts his arm around me
"That was a lot" I mutter

"Sorry" He smiles and picks up his case and mine

"I can carry mine" I offer
"No, no" I smile and walk beside him, behind our parents. I held it together quite well if I do say so myself.

"Everyone come down!" Pepa screams and smiles at my family, the rest of their family rushes down, four women and two men. Oh no. Camilo stands close to me, the cases gone. The tiles move under my feet and I jump

"Oh this is Casita, Casita, Y/n, Y/n, Castia," He introduces me to the house?

"The house is Casita?" I question and a window waves at me, I tentatively wave back and the tiles slide me away from Camilo.
"Hola Casita" I say awkwardly and it makes me slide around.
