Chapter 3

Newt

I walked towards the meeting hut, hoping to see Alby so then I could ask him what to do with the girl and sure enough I found him sitting in the corner writing in his notebook with his head on his hand. "Alby?" I asked him quietly. "Yes, Newt?" he asked with an annoyed expression on his face."Well..The girl woke up." I stammered looking from Alby to the girl still on my shoulders waiting for his reaction. "Yes, I can see that." he responded with his eyebrows raised." And I'm wondering what I can do with her," I told him."Well, I don't know. Show here around, I guess." He said, sounding distracted . I nodded at him before looked  back to the door and heading to it.

 "So, this is my hut" I said gesturing to it while the girl stared at me."Oh c,mon, Can't you speak?" I said to her, getting a bit annoyed with the lack of conversation."Yeah, I can" She replied to me. I was so taken back by her response that I stayed quiet. "But I can see that you now suddenly can't" She said to me with her eyebrows raised and her arms folded." Sorry, So as I said, this is my hut. But you already know that I guess". I said to her, remembering our encounter. "Yeah I do". She said, nodding her head. She turned her back on me and started walking when I grabbed her hand. "Where are you going?" I asked her "I havn't shown you around yet" I said. 

"What do you mean?" She said back to me

"Well about Alby's rules and everything"

"Oooh you mean the three rules that Alby made up"

" ...Yeah?"

"1. Do your part 2. Don't harm another glader 3. Don't go out into the maze... Is that it?"

I forrowed my eyebrows "Yeah, but how do you know that?"

"I don't exactly know how... But I've been here before".

"So, Your saying you've been here before?" He asked me, rubbing his temples.

"Yes... I think so" I answered, not knowing the answer either.

"But..." He started off saying "How is that even possible?"

"I don't know, I don't really remember, I just remember coming here before. I don't remember these people though and It was a bit different but I've definitely come to a maze before." I told him, watching his face change emotions.

"C'mon, we need to go to Alby" He told me firmly.

"What, why?" I answered him, confused

"Well because I need to tell him about you" he said to me, holding his hand out for me to hold.

I nodded and took his hand as we walked off together to Alby. "Alby?" The boy said nervously to the man. "What do you want again, Newt?" Oh, so his names Newt... cute.  "Well, The girl has just told me that she's been in the maze before" Alby's head, shot round to look at me. "What are you talking about, that's inpossible". He said, not taring his gaze away from me. He then got up slowly. "C'mon darling, we're going to have a little chat, ok?" He said, looking at me. I nodded to him, honestly being a little scared.

Alby

This girl has got to be it. The answer to us getting out of the maze. If she had been in a maze before just like this one she would know how to get out, right? "So, Newt tells me that you've been in this maze before, huh?"
