Chapter 12

Newt

He was staring at her like she was a possession, an object, he had greed in his eyes as he swept them up and down Y/n's body fixating himself on every part of her. In that moment of time, my blood ran cold with deep hatred for him, I felt the need to protect Y/N from him, as if he was going to hurt her. But I didn't, I knew that she wasn't my possession either and I couldn't act protective of her if I didn't know if she wanted me too. I glared angrily at him, wanting him to notice me and to realize that she was mine, but he didn't, his eyes did not leave Y/n's and I could clearly see that she was beginning to feel uncomfortable with his staring. I felt bile starting to rise up my throat, the sight alone made me feel sick and I quickly pulled Y/n to the side. "You ok?" I asked her, patting her shoulders with both of my hands. I wanted to hug her so badly but we were not at that stage yet... YET. So I had to control myself and my anger for now, for the sake of me, Y/n and greenie. I pulled Y/n back to the box by her hand while Gally and the greenie walked towards Alby. I knew I didn't have to but I didn't let go of Y/n's hand the whole time we were with the greenie. I kept looking at her and grinning and she would give me the occasional faint smile. Those smile's had to be appreciated, as they were rare but beautiful. If there was one thing I knew about Y/n, it was that she wasn't one for emotions.

After a few minutes Gally came out again and headed towards us and when he reached us he squealed a little and took my hand making Newt unfortunately have to drop the other. "C'mon Y/n, I have a surprise for you" He told me, while Newt was running after us. After a bit of running Gally put his hands on my eyes and said "No peeking Y/N, ok?" I nodded to him and carefully walked forwards until I felt myself bang into something "Gally!" I yelled and I could hear Gally and Newt giggling and snickering behind me. "Take off the blindfold already Y/N!" Gally said, still laughing as I ripped the blindfold off. I stood in front of a hut, a normal hut and I turned around and said "Great joke, guys" Then Gally said "Omg Y/n you shank, just open the door". So I did, and as soon I walked into it I knew it was mine! I gasped and ran around it with happiness. "Y/n look in the corner" Gally said. "OMG Gally, my own bathroom!" I said estatically. "Yep, I know you get uncomfortable in the showers so here's your own" I ran to him and gave him a massive hug. "Thank you so, so, so much Gally, you're the best brother in the world!" I said still hugging him "Well not the world, the glade" he said and I replied nodding as I finally let go of him. Newt was walking around the room and he stopped when he came up to the bookshelf. "I've read all of my books Y/n, can I borrow these?" He asked me and I nodded while jumping onto the bed. Gally jumped up with me and soon after Newt did too. "Can you guys leave me to my hut for a bit please?" I asked them and they both nodded and walked out. I walked around MY hut, I looked in the wardrobe, the shelves, the bathroom and I finally just yeeted myself onto the bed for a well earned rest.
